To be honest there are accidents like this in every sport with athletes dropping dead in the middle of performances. I know their have been quite a few cases in football (Soccer) and I am sure it happens in every sport.

First, wrestling is what’s it’s always been. It’s not necessarily a “kid’s” sport and though the WWE has it’s new “PG” rated brand, there’s no bsing that it is fact; violence based. What happened to Misawa was an occupational hazard, that’s all.

Second; No one intended for it to happen, it just did. That’s what you sign up for when you get into pro wrestling of hell, any wrestling for that matter pro or not. You are asked to put your body and your life on the line 300 days a year. These people that choose this life style knows that.

Third: There are millions upon top of MILLIONS of wrestling fans in the world. Losing ONE or TEN THOUSAND is going to be of no consequence to the sport. If you actually think that not tuning into the USANetwork on Monday nights at 9 is going to make a difference then, please, by all means run with that idea.

Still, the fact remains: These guys are athletes but more so, they are conscience men and women that know the risk(s) yet, they continue to pursue their dreams just as a construction worker that has a chance of falling 500 feet or a police officer that takes a chance of getting shot every night that he/she pins that badge on. It’s a life choice. Nothing, nothing less.

First wwe is not real it’s fake. But in it’s defence it is entianing. first kids are trying to be like the wwe superstars and they wreslte other kids. It’s not right.

i dont agree with you Rhaysha , do you you want to make wrestling even worse well listen its voilence not a fucking kids show , even thought its PG . wrestler have to make their bodies that hard to endure the pain , you can see the difference between tables 3 years ago and now .

Firstly Misawa has never even wrestled for Vince. Secondly it was a freak accident not a drug related issue. In fact barely anybody has died in the ring so their is no proof to say the style is the problem, bar perhaps the Chris Benoit concussion studies.

I admit the Japanese style is stiff and their rings are usually more solid, but their death toll is nothing compared to the US and the drug related issues.

My friends, this bullshit’s got to stop. The wrestlers are dropping like flies, and as long as we vote against it with our wallets, this will go on. Vince Mc Mahon is one big fucking hipocrite; on one side he’s toning the violence and content so the kids can watch, but on the other the wrestling spots are more dangerous and career (life) threatning. I can give a few suggestions: Make the ring more bouncy, like a trampoline, so their bodies don’t turn to jelly,make prop chairs so the talents don’t end up with jelly brains..If this keeps on, I will have to quit watching wrestling. If I want to see senseless true violence, I go to my bball court. WWE you have lost a fan…I am not the only one…
