Mick Foley Speaks About TNA, Chris Masters Rips Warrior, Suicide Update

- Mick Foley was recently interviewed by Fighting Spirit Magazine here in the UK. It appears that he won’t only be missing the UK tour as reported, but in the interview he mentioned his domestic schedule is also limited and he won’t venture too far out of Orlando.

Although word has come out that wrestling isn’t part of his contract he wants to leave that option “undetermined right now” meaning we may end up seeing Foley against Kurt at some point.

He went on to mention that in the 3 years he’s been watching TNA he thinks the product has improved greatly and agrees that WWE needs some competition to bring the best out in everyone.

- Former WWE star Chris Masters was recently interviewed by Slam Wrestling [slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Wrestling] and proceeded to rip Warrior for the way he acted on the NWE tour of Spain.

“The guy is 50 years old and he expected the red carpet rolled out for him in NWE,” Masters said. “We were doing a three-week tour of Spain and they brought him in to create a buzz for the product. He had one match to do with Orlando Jordan for our big show in Barcelona.”

“They rented him a house and flew out his wife and daughters and all I was hearing about from the guys higher up was his bitching and saying, ‘I am the Ultimate Warrior, you should be promoting this more,’ and doing everything he possibly could to be a dick and make it hard for those of us who were working every day busting our asses.”

“Ultimate Asshole.”

Of course, you can read my own interview with Chris Masters from a few months back, touching on his time in WWE.

- As I’ve extensively covered here on the site, the original plan for the Suicide character was to have the stroyline released Kaz come back under the guise and therefore get his way back in to the company, similar to how he sneaks his way back in on the video game. However the arm injury he suffered was recent, and wasn’t the reason why he was taken off TV as I originally thought.

This leaves TNA at a crossroads. Should they continue to build the storyline until Kaz is fit to wrestle, arguably dragging it out too long or let somebody else take his place, or drop it altogether? Former TNA star Senshi (Low-Ki) did the voice for Suicide in the game, making him an obvious pick. We’ll have to wait and see what transpires.
