Mick Foley Jumping Ship To TNA, Don’t Jump The Gun
According to the website of the UK Sun Newspaper Mick Foley will be jumping ship to TNA when his WWE contract expires in September. Now the UK Sun is pretty much the biggest tabloid here in the UK and at the bottom of the totem poll where credibility is concerned, so take it as a rumor for now. It wasn’t long ago that they needed me to recap their interviews to get traffic…
They claim:
Foley’s pal told us: “Mick’s body cannot handle a full time schedule, even in TNA, but he’s hell bent on doing everything he can to further his legacy and put them on the map. So Mick’s plan is to wrestle select dates, like Sting currently does. He feels he will legitimately make a big difference in the way TNA Wrestling is perceived by the public!”
That being said it is a definite possibility, since Mick almost went to TNA in 2005. It’s definitely not beneath him either, considering he did a run with ROH in the past also.
As for wrestling. There is no doubt Mick is in the worst shape of his life and would do much better replacing Don West on commentary or just lending his verbiage to storylines. Hell put Mick in creative and sort out the mess that the trio of Russo, Jarrett and Mantel have caused.
Mick has told various outlets that he isn’t likely to re-sign with WWE. So that much we do know for certain.
Mick in TNA?… Why Not? It would at least make for some fresh programming for a few weeks.
