Pyro hits on another Edition of Smackdown! Will Smackdown continue after the last 2 weeks of top notch shows easily leaving Raw for dead?

First match of the evening Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas vs. CM Punk and John Morrison. This seems to be an interesting combination Of Punk and Morrison. It’s seems Morrison is on the verge of a face turn ever since his break from Miz in the Draft. As for Shelton and Charlie, it’s good to see them back together again. I do notice that there is no mentions of the name of their former tag team the “world’s greatest tag team”. It’s also to see Haas on TV again is been sometime since he did his impersonations on RAW, they were hilarious I guess the now leave that up to Santino.

John Morrison and CM Punk defeated Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin via pinfall.

Awesome match to kick off Smackdown Morrison and Punk getting huge face attention from the crowd. Punk and Morrison making a great tag team but obviously not a one time only deal as punk heads towards cashing in for the Title.

Chris Jericho Heads to the ring. Starts off with a conspiracy angle on the crowd. or castrated be Teddy Long and the Smackdown Superstars. He continues to say the he will Start by defeating Mysterio to win his 9th Intercontinental title. He invites Mysterio to the ring. Edge’s music hits. Edge says everyone is out to get him because he’s the world champion. Each begin to call out their opponents. Teddy Long comes out and states that this show is the WWE universes show. And they will face each other one on one in the Main Event. Jeff Hardy on his way to the ring wear his custom face paint.

Ricky Ortiz making his debut on Smackdown as he comes to the ring it goes split screen with a Promo he cut backstage saying that he needs the WWE Universe to defeat the Enigmatic Jeff Hardy. Ortiz looking good but you could see Jeff was just giving some air time to see how the audience reacts.

Jeff Hardy Defeated Ricky Ortiz via pinfall.

Jeff still in the ring getting interviewed by Josh Matthews. Jeff poking fun at the Ultimate Transitional Champion. Jeff ending with fighting words to win the title from Edge at Judgment Day.

Raw Rebound – Randy Orton/ Batista Feud. Note to Edge watch how to do a real spear (Batista spears Dibiase.)

I see with Alicia Fox’s hair style they want to hide her away from the wedding planner gimmick she worked with Edge/ Vicky storyline. Milena using a move similar to AJ Style’s Finisher.

Milena and Gail Kim defeated Michelle McCool and Alicia Fox via pinfall.

Dolph Ziggler continues his push to the mid Card against Jimmy Wang Yang. Dolph seems to very verbal with his cockiness for his heel push. He still needs some work.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Jimmy Wang Yang via pinfall.

Khali makes his way to the ring he throws Ziggler out of the ring as the shows goes to commercial.

Returning with Crime Time talking backstage with Eve teasing her about being beat up by Layla. A cat fight ensures with Layla. After eve spills talcum powder on Layla. Crime time break it up. R-Truth heads through the audience as he is set to face off against Mike Knox. Another awesome match from R-Truth he’s certainly heading for bigger things.

R-Truth defeated Mike Knox via pinfall.

Edge vs. Chris Jericho

Top match allot of attempting high risk. They both using the ring and outside the ring rails announce table. Strong ego match. Each seems to be evenly matched. Jericho using various submission moves. Jericho though getting stronger heat due to his loud mouth. Jericho brings a chair into the ring Edge kicks the chair into Jericho to end this one. Jeff Hits the ring hitting Edge with a twist of fate onto the steel chair and attempting a Swanton bomb instead hitting Jericho with a splash. Punk’s Music hits he comes to the ring with a ref and the briefcase Umaga follows to the ring a Punk Hits Umaga with the briefcase. Brawls break out with Umaga and Punk and Edge and Hardy fighting in the crowd. Also Mysterio Attacking Jericho on the stage area as we close this week’s Smackdown.
