The Hook:
Christian’s “The Peep Show” returned to WWE last night, and he brought out none other than the number one contender to his title, Jack Swagger. Captain Charisma once again outsmarted “The All-American American,” by riling him up with funny lisp clips instead of taking him seriously.
Quick Results:
- Vladimir Kozlov defeated a jobber.
- Mark Henry defeated Tommy Dreamer.
- Finlay defeated Tyson Kidd via DQ.
Full Report:
- For the first time as ECW Champion, Christian brought “The Peep Show” to ECW and his special guest was none other than his Judgment Day opponent, Jack Swagger. “The All-American American” promised Christian he’ll reclaim the ECW Championship that Christian “cheated” to win at Backlash, showing clips of Christian exposing the turnbuckle for the victory on the tron, ,ut instead of playing clips of Swagger exposing the opposite turnbuckle, Christian offered a montage of Swagger’s greatest lisp-filled speeches on ECW. Since ECW’s interim General Manager, Tiffany, promised there’d be consequences to pay if either Christian or Swagger engaged in physicality during “The Peep Show,” Swagger continued to berate the ECW Champion. But it was only a matter of time before Christian abruptly ended “The Peep Show,” and attacked his stunned Judgment Day opponent with a punch to the face. An irate Swagger ran out of the ring as the WWE Universe cheered for Christian.
- Vladimir Kozlov defeated a jobber:
After his win, The Moscow Mauler demanded an interview from the ECW announce team. Josh Mathews asked Kozlov how his Russian military training has helped him. Kozlov explained that he’s trained in the superior Russian martial art of Sambo, “which uses the great combination of skills and discipline,” Kozlov said. “That is why I will dominate everyone here in ECW.”
- Mark Henry defeated Tommy Dreamer:
Henry won with the World’s Strongest Slam.
- Finlay defeated Tyson Kidd via DQ:
The match ended when the returning DH Smith helped Kidd attack Finlay with the shillelagh.
Conclusion:
Christian and Swagger is wearing thin, but their PPV match has been built up with the basics. They’ll still impress in the ring.
No idea where they are heading with Kozolv, other than some 80s cartoony route. I think he had much more upside as just a foreign bad ass. The real life Russian stereotype is much more of a legit tough street guy, than it is some soviet dressed solider. Come to my town and find out!
A lot of people are worrying that they’re just burying Dreamer, but remember in the original ECW he barely ever won. Just wait for this one to unfold.
No complaints about the return of DH Smith and the Hart Foundation. Kidd has amazing talent and with Smith being the bulkier enforcer of the team, we have some things to look forward to. It’ll be interesting to see how they do on the mic.
