Low Ki Officially Signs With WWE, Major WWE Cuts; Including Another Ref

- According to several sources and Low Ki’s official site, the Indy standout has signed a WWE deal that will see him begin in developmental. As we reported earlier today he was at last night’s FCW event. This is what Ki’s website reads:

“It is with great excitement that we announce “The World Warrior” LOW-KI has joined World Wrestling Entertainment! Speculation had been in circulation after he participated in a non televised match November 4, 2008. Nothing was confirmed or reported, since it was assumed that he was still contractually obligated to compete in New Japan Pro Wrestling and was the IWGP Jr Heavyweight Champion. After NJPW’s “Wrestle Kingdom” events, contract negotiations begin for the new year. Terms apparently were not agreed upon and in his debut match, LOW-KI was victorious, putting away Florida Championship Wrestling’s Trent Berretta with the “Warrior’s Way”. Words cannot describe the excitement we feel here and we would like to congratulate “The World Warrior” on his incredible success!”

Initial plans for Low Ki were to have him come in as an evil Rey Mysterio, or something to that affect.

- As alluded to yesterday WWE are making a lot of cuts from their office and business side employees. Vince addressed the situation by sending a company wide email, informing employees that there will be a 10% cut in staff in total. This is down to the recent economic crisis and to make up for their poor quarter earnings.

Word is that another referee, Mike Posey has been let go, although this cannot be confirmed at this time.

Most releases will be names nobody has heard of, but if a well known road agent or ref gets released, I’ll keep you all posted.

  1. Senshi can’t go to WWE just like R Truth, Angle, Morgan, BookerT and Christian hiS wwe persona and trainers just won’t compare to the high octane nonstop skills he and they all exhibit in TNA- not too mention the corny gimmick and terrible storyline he’ll recieve that since the absence of RVD made any respectable fan put off by the age of 11
