Kane Calls Taker/Michaels The Real Main Event, More On HBK/Hart HOF
- With an over dramatized soap opera on one side (John Cena vs Edge vs Big Show) and a match we’ve seen before (Triple H vs Randy Orton) not mentioning its over the top build, many are calling The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels match at this year’s Wrestlemania the real main event. WWE superstar Kane agreed in his recent interview with the UK Sun.
“They’ve had very few previous matches and to put them in a bout at WrestleMania just means so much more. And both are going to genuinely be out to prove something, as both could legitimately claim that title of Mr WrestleMania. And remember that Undertaker has never defeated Shawn Michaels in a one-on-one match. But none of those – including the one where I made my debut back in 1997 – were at WrestleMania, where Undertaker is always at his best. So you are going to see a tremendous match between two future Hall Of Famers that will be a once in a lifetime event for our fans.”
Although the consensus is that there is no way Undertaker will, or should job to Michaels, this is the one match with that special Wrestlemania atmosphere to it, and one most fans are looking forward to.

- Although nobody believes it will happen, during an interview with the Orlando Sentinel Shawn Michaels clarified his recent comments about name dropping Bret Hart as the person who might eventually induct him in to the Hall of Fame.
“I was saying that from the perspective of I so much enjoy the Hall of Fame but it can be – and I want this to come out right – it’s a time of tribute and a time of honoring but often we get focuses all on the good and it tends to be, I don’t know, a little fluffy. I would like mine to be, I don’t know, maybe be honest. I’m one with who I was and I’m one with who I am. I felt that Bret Hart could bring a real perspective to that. He’s always been a guy even know that despite all of our differences, he’s still always been objective about my ability. They didn’t put this in there I don’t think – the only thing that he wouldn’t have any knowledge of is the person I am now and I understand that. It was from the idea of wanting someone that could give a real honest perspective of my career because it hasn’t all been fluff and it hasn’t all been fantastic and I think that’s OK. I just felt that I can be a pretty strange guy. (laughs) I supposed that it was just something that I thought, gosh, my Hall of Fame induction to be more about truth more than anything else. It’s sort of a fantasy, sort of, dream job and it’s a great line of work so we can create anything we want and it can be very fairytale-ish and I think that’s great on one hand. I just figured maybe it would be, I don’t know, neat or nice to have somebody that can give a real perspective on the journey because it hasn’t been a fairytale. It’s turned out awesome but it was a tough, rugged road. I just thought that maybe he could give a fresh perspective to it. It’s one of those things that you go I know this sounds crazy but…”

Totally agree with u on that Kane, that Taker vs HBK is the true main event, HHH vs Orton has been built too hard, and is just silly now with all the hype. Plus we have seen these combants go at it before, so its lost its shine, HHH has jobbed the last 2 mania’s so he’ll win his match.
I hope Kane wins the MITB match.
HBK should win against Taker. Hes been screwed so many times the last 6 yrs, its pathetic. The matches against Flair and vince dont count (although they were classics),HBK hasnt won a Wrestlemania against top competition since he beat Jericho in ‘03! C’MON! But yet he wins match of the year EVERY year, he needs to be rewarded with stopping Takers streak, that would be bigger than winning the title.
