Yokozuna and Mr. Fuji were guests on the King’s Court. Fuji said that Yokozuna is now 550lbs and will destroy Hulk Hogan at the King of the ring. Before introducing his guests, Lawler ripped in to the local crowd.
WWF IC Champion Shawn Michaels (with new manager Diesel) pinned Russ Greenberg with a piledriver at 3:53. Michaels was introduced as the new IC champion and then stopped by the commentary team to plug his new “insurance Policy” Diesel. The Clique is born!
King of the Ring Report: The Shawn Michaels against Crush match will be for HBK’s new IC title.
Michaels and Diesel returned ringside and cut a promo against the just announced title defense. He goes to the commentary table and says Vince is jealous of him. Hmm.
It’s revealed that Marty Jannetty will face Doink the Clown next week.
Adam Bomb (with Johnny Polo aka Raven) pinned Tito Santana at with a slingshot clothesline to the back of Santana’s head. During the match Vince McMahon said Razor Ramon offered the 123 Kid $7,500 for the rematch.
Tatanka defeated Peter Weeks with a tomahawk chop off the top rope. During the match, McMahon revealed that Bret Hart was in number one and Tatanka was in number two in regards to King of the Ring fan voting. (Cyber Sunday in the making?)
Fatu (with Samu and Afa) and WWF Tag Team Champion IRS (with partner Ted DiBiase) defeated Rick Steiner (with Scott Steiner) & Billy Gunn (with Bart Gunn) at 11:30 when IRS got the clothesline from behind. There was a lot of tension between all the teams.
After the break, the champions paid off the Shrinkers to cool things down. Afa ate the money like it was food.
Vince McMahon interviewed Razor Ramon who claimed that 123 Kid had accepted the $7,500 for a rematch next week. Vince said it wasn’t confirmed.
