John Cena Car Crash Storyline, Raw Off Air News, Batista Squashes Punk
- WWE posted on their official website that John Cena was fine after Raw went off air, and was only grazed by JBL’s hit and run attempt:
“Despite JBL’s worst intentions, Cena escaped at the last minute and was only grazed, insuring that the Superstars will still face off at The Great American Bash.”
- In dark matches before the show Charlie Haas defeated a local jobber and D’Lo Brown beat Matt Striker with th Frog Splash. D’Lo continues to get good reactions and if anything has improved in the ring since his departure.
- Chris Jericho cut a promo on Shawn Michaels seconds before the start of the show when HBK hit the ring and they brawled.
- After Raw went off the air there was a special main event just for the live crowd pitting Batista against CM Punk. It was said to be a squash match with Batista winning, which doesn’t bode well for Punk’s title reign - unless it’s deliberately to swerve us net reporters.
