John Cena And Lance Cade Appear At OVW, Kayfabe Movie Update

- John Cena made a rare appearance at the OVW (former WWE developmental territory) last night along with Lance Cade. Cena beat Cade in the main event of the 3,000 fan strong event at Six Flags Kentucky. Despite severing ties, a lot of WWE talent remain close with the OVW promotion.

- “Kayfabe – A fake real movie about a fake real sport” is still seeking a good DVD distribution deal and may have to resort to selling the title independently through its website kayfabemovie.com.

For those that have yet to hear about it, Kayfabe is a hilarious mockumentary (spoof documentary) about Tri-Cities International Championship Wrestling Federation and how they deal with the news that their promotion is folding and their time in the TCICWF is coming to an end. It centers around interviews with the wrestlers and various other “fly on the wall” footage.

The movie won Best Comedy & Mockumentary at the 2007 Lake Dance International Film Festival, Best Canadian Indie Feature at the Okanagan Film Festival and the Audience Choice Award at the Eugene Film festival.
