Jeff Staying? Ratings News, Nancy O’Dell Hosting Raw, Making New Stars
- On his official Twitter account Matt Hardy posted, “Here’s an update for the ’sheets’-Jeff & I might not team again due to pursuing singles careers. And Jeff will be with WWE after Summerslam.”
Now judging how Matt Hardy likes to “f” with people, it is highly likely Jeff will appear on one more Smackdown episode following the PPV and then leave.
And of course if he does leave that doesn’t mean he’ll be gone for good. This is wrestling we’re talking about.
- This week’s TNA Impact on Spike TV drew a 1.2 cable rating. This week’s WWE Superstars on WGN drew a 1.0 cable rating, which is up from recent weeks.
- Access Hollywood’s Nancy O’Dell will be appearing at Summerslam tomorrow as a backstage interviewer. She is also tipped to guest host one of the upcoming Raws. O’Dell won the Miss South Carolina pageant and represented the state at Miss America 1988.

- During an interview with The Miami Herald, WWE star The Miz praised WWE’s recent main event switch-up, specifically in regards to CM Punk and John Morrison:
“I think it will be an absolutely incredible match. These two are definitely extreme and know exactly what they’re doing and know how to do a main event level match. It’s also two new guys in the main event. We’ve seen the same five people in the main event for so long now. It’s a breath of fresh air to see these two there.”
- Cody Rhodes also expressed is views on the newer crop of talent during an interview with The Fanhouse.
“Did anyone foresee “Stone Cold” Steve Austin? Did anyone see John Cena coming? If anyone tells you yes, then they’re lying to you. Monday Night Raw is like a varsity team. And it’s filled with freshmen. Very talented, very young, but it’s something the fans are now getting to grow with. It’s a cool experience. I can remember watching Michaels go from tag to Intercontinental Champion to taking the longest run possible to the WWE championship. I think it might be a while till somebody becomes that breakout star, but I know that you have a lot of hopefuls. You have a United States Champion who’s more talented than most in Kofi Kingston. You have a legit All-American in Jack Swagger. You have a guy who can do things that Cirque du Soleil can’t do with wires and walls in Evan Bourne. And you have me and Ted DiBiase, who will spend our dying breath on trying to make sure that we’re remembered for something else than being the sons of “The Million Dollar Man” and “The American Dream.”

are you sure the witter is real????????? ps hope he stays
remembered for something else than being the sons of “The Million Dollar Man” and “The American Dream.”

then they better hope that the writers give them better scripts. right now they haven’t done anything worth talking about. all I have seen is a lot of mouth and acting like the spoiled kids that they are.
I for one hope he is going, I just hate how arrogant he is. He claps his own hands when the fans cheer him, who applauds themselves? He also starts his own ‘Hardy’ chants on occasion, how pathetic is that? That is one guy who really buys into his own hype.
Oh dear James, please just get a clue before making comments like that again.
Forgetting MVP, Miz and Morrison Rhodes just listed every wrestler worth anything in WWE.
Who else would be beneficial to talk about? Really?
That is a GREAT point! Who the fuck starts their own chants?
I always thought they were chanting “honky” in reference to the great Honky Tonk Man… Or stupid white guy.
I didn’t really think that, but in a perfect world…
