Jeff Jarret PWR Video, Impact Rating Drops, TNA In Mexico, Sandman Pleads
- Jeff Jarrett was recently fluff interviewed on long running internet wrestling show, the Pro Wrestling Report. Here is the clip:
- Thursday’s TNA Impact on Spike TV drew a 1.0 cable rating which is down slightly from previous weeks, but still within their usual fluctuations. The final segment with Mick Foley drew the biggest number understandably, but not enough to make any real “Impact.”
- Press Release:
CHANNEL 52MX TO BROADCAST TNA WRESTLING IN MEXICO
TNA Wrestling has signed a multi-year agreement with Channel 52MX, Mexico’s leading Pay-TV operator, to license their weekly flagship show “iMPACT!” and monthly Pay-Per-Views, effective immediately.
“iMPACT!” will air weekly on Saturdays 13:30 to 15:30 and 18:00 to 20:00 and Sundays from 11:30 to 13:30 and 16:30 to 18:30, Mexico City time. The Pay-Per-Views will air two hours tape-delayed from 21:00 to 12:00.
Dixie Carter, President of TNA Wrestling said: “This deal marks another important milestone in the history of TNA. Our roster has competed against some of Mexico’s finest Lucha Libre Superstars, and airing our product on Channel 52MX is a significant step in establishing a major presence for TNA in Mexico. The channel has a long and rich history of broadcasting Mexican and American wrestling and we are proud to be associated with them.”
In the past few months, TNA has announced deals with Premiere (Germany), TF6 (France), Sport TV (Portugal), Fox8 (Australia), and ESPN Star Sports (India).
- For those that are still following, according to PWInsider.com the Sandman pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest in New York yesterday. He was ordered to pay $1000 and $200 in court costs. This of course is in regards to his outburst at Lou Albano’s birthday in July.

HA! TNA does 1.0 and the mgic show featuring the diva’s did 1.4 and WrestleMania did 1.2, take the hint and realize that you’ll never be WWE or WCW for that matter.
WWE maybe the top show right now but I believe TNA will be the top show someday if people just give it a chance.
I swear; the entire McMahon family, Steve Austin, and the Rock could show up on Impact and BEG for people to watch it and the ratings MIGHT spike to 1.2.
I notice the Knockout roster seemed to be an after thought in the Jeff Jarret interview. When will Jeff realise that they are one of his best bets for greater success!
It was pretty lame for Jarret to make a stand for young wrestlers over the known legends, then turn around and introduce Foley. It took the steam out of the angle.
As for Impacts ratings, it will never be great without Jarret seeking out investors.
