Jeff Hardy Gone, TNA Spike TV Update, Undertaker Update, More JR
- As of now Jeff Hardy is officially gone from the WWE as of Summerslam, as he is yet to reach a new agreement with the company and has expressed no interest in re-signing. Unless a miracle occurs, he is gone.
However the door is obviously always open and I doubt this is the last we’ll see of Hardy.
- As I noted yesterday TNA has extended their deal with Spike TV. The press release notes that there are several specials as part of the contract:
“The deal, which begins October 1, 2009, includes three new years of TNA’s weekly “iMPACT!” show as well as the addition of a new original series of one-hour specials. Each special (title TBD) will feature the biggest personalities and highlight some the greatest and awe-inspiring bouts in the history of TNA, many of them never before seen on basic cable. TNA Entertainment will produce 10 one-hour installments.”
- As previously noted The undertaker is set for a return after Summerslam to the Smackdown brand. Word is that the company wants to do a slow build rather than a surprise cameo like HBK. We’ll likely see the usual paranormal activity as his return builds.

On Freddy Prinze:
“I thought Freddie Prinze, Jr did an excellent job as the Guest Host of Raw and I’m sure that FPJ will be talking about the inverted backbreaker that he sustained for years to come with his Hollywood pals. Freddie is a true fan of which I respect. I wish I had gotten to know him better when he was on the creative team with WWE but we traveled different trails during the hectic TV days when I would see him. Nonetheless, FPJ is 2nd only to Shaq as my favorite Guest Host of Monday Night Raw.”
On Summerslam:
“I heard that WWE had over 300 rooms at various hotels in LA reserved which means that a bunch of corporate types will be doing some serious mingling in Los Angeles this weekend. I think it is called ‘networking.’”
[They are trying to position Summerslam as the second show to Wrestlemania].
On DX:
“I personally enjoyed the DX business Monday night. It was funny when it was supposed to be along with being dramatic and surprising. The match pitting DX vs. Orton/Rhodes at Summerslam now has much more significance. Legacy needed a night like they had in Saint Louie.”

where do you guys get your information from. If I recall you guys said he would be gone after Night of Champions.
I’ll beleive it when I see it regarding Jeff Hardy. I hope he goes back to TNA. He could get a big push (poor AJ, he can’t even make the PPV). It’s not like jeff has other skills, or does he? It seems like a holdout for more $

with jeff hardy leaving after summerslam, i know who will win the strap in their match. *cough* CM Punk
but, it’ll be really cool if I was wrong and they let jeff hardy win, then leave as champion (ala Trish Stratus) but it is the WWE, so we know the true outcome.
It was hit or miss after night of champions, he may have just stuck round to close out the storyline. Knowing WWE they may let him win the title and have something happen on the next week’s Smackdown before he goes. I don’t think a date is exactly set in stone because he owes the company and will stay until they can write him out, but he definitely appears to want a break. He may only be gone for a few months. I’m doubting a TNA run.

about trish leaving as champion: why did they have her leave as champion? didn’t vince say something about a “time honored tradition” after what happened in Montreal 12 years ago? if that time honored tradition still exists, then how was Trish exempt from it?

Trish was exempt because she was respected by the WWE upper brass. That’s why she was allowed to retire without dropping the strap. Lita, on the other, she was humiliated in the ring just before she walked.
Personally, I always thought Lita was better than Trish in ring, and Lita’s finisher was probably the best in the women’s division then and now. Again, that’s just my opinion.
Anywho haha, I’m sure Jeff is respected by the WWE, then again, they might be a bit irritated by the fact that he won’t stay longer. But the fact remains he WILL NOT leave the company as champion. Bank on it.
And even though Punk got the best of Hardy the majority of this month, with Matt beating Punk on smackdown pretty much solidifies that Jeff will in fact drop the strap at summer slam.
They want Punk as their top heel on SD, so they’ll give him the strap and let him have a lengthy run with it.
My guess is until Survivor Series or maybe Royal Rumble, or whenever they build a respectable face to challenge him for the strap.
It will likely be Survivor Series.. and most likely Punk will drop the title to Taker.

I think wwe should bring back jeff hardy but skip the whole cm punk fight (Getting old) But jeff had soo many fans and was a great entertainer. And if they brought back the hardy boyz that would have been the best ;D I agree that jeff does need to get help with his drug problem though. I dont belive that he’s never going to be on wwe again hes probably going to be back at summer slam next year or some other pay per view.
