Jeff Hardy Discusses His Fire & Suspension, John Cena Grants Wishes

- In a rare Jeff Hardy interview with the Winnipeg Sun, the former intercontinental champion discussed his recent house fire and 60 day suspension, stating “I made two mistakes, the last one being really bad. I lost my championship, my house, my dog and a chance to be at Wrestlemania. And it all kind of happened in the same week. Part of me was like, Oh God, I don’t want to be seen again. But I knew I had to come back and live for everything I’d lost. But I’m back with a new outlook. Fortunately, I had Matt. I had nowhere to go and he was there for me. We’ve moved on. We’re rebuilding in the same area … it’s a seven- or eight-month process.”

- In continuation of WWE’s ongoing relationship with the Make-A-Wish Foundation John Cena granted two wishes before this past Monday’s episode of Raw.

“I like John Cena, because he kicks butt, like me,” said Alex Severinghaus, 12, of Niles, Mich. “It was awesome meeting him. He’s a really nice guy. He’s exactly what I thought he would be like, very polite. At first, I was sort of nervous. He made me feel more comfortable.”

“I can’t explain how I’m feeling right now. It was so unreal,” Camron Villanueva, 8, of West Jordan, Utah, explained. “I thought he was only going to give me some shirts and sign some autographs, but he did that and then some. He spent a lot of time with us. None of my friends are going to believe it when I tell them.”

Cena chatted and exchanged jokes with the children before signing autographs and handing out free Cena merchandise.
