Hogan To TNA? Raw Rating, Rudy Charles Correction, Candice Update

- This Monday’s WWE Raw with The Million Dollar Man as guest host drew a 3.6 cable rating, down from last week’s 3.9 number.

- Although it was originally thought former TNA referee Rudy Charles left on his own accord due to his tenure in the company, it turns out he was made redundant from an unknown position as assistant creative writer and they decided they didn’t need his refereeing skills either.

Many in the company are shocked considering he’s been there since day one.

- Although Hulk Hogan is renowned for talking bollocks, he is also renowned to dropping hints to get companies to sign him. This is what he told “The Southtown Star”.

“I watch both products. (TNA’s) like the little engine that could. Everybody thought they wouldn’t be around for long, and they’ve been chugging along for seven years. They gain momentum every week. They seem to be real fresh. When a lot of guys go over to that side of the fence, they seem to get a spring in their step,” Hogan said. He also praised Vince and the WWE. ” Vince is the constant. He’s the standard of excellence. I just love watching his show because you never know what he is going to do. Plus, the production — you can’t even touch his production. It’s so dialed-in. It’s amazing just to see how they put the pieces together.”

“TNA is lacking that one momentum-shifting move, that one big name that would even the playing field, the brand (that is) just as powerful as the WWE brand. (TNA’s) lacking the big piece of the puzzle. It wouldn’t matter who did what in the past. It will be a totally even playing field. You never know.”

[You can look at this two ways. He's linking himself to TNA so Vince gets scared and gives him a payday at Summerslam, or he's now at a point where TNA is an option].

- Former WWE Diva Candice Michelle is asking for around $5,000 per appearance, which is a fair amount. To compare, Torrie Wilson was often laughed at after her WWE departure for demanding $15,000, which is Ric Flair territory!

She will not be wrestling, only making appearances and autograph signings.

  1. I’m torn about the Hogan thing. I think Hulk Hogan on TNA could perhaps bridge the gap. History shows that Hogan going to WCW was the beginning of a war that everyone benefited from.
On the other hand I’m really enjoying TNA. An all out war could spell the end for the young promotion. Because as it seems that Vince McMahon dosent lose at these things. WCW however sucked and TNA is great.
Not to mention, I don’t want to see his worn out face again. It’s bad enough that I have to see Kevin Nash every week. Nobody wants to see THAT much grey hair, I’m sorry. I have nothing against the older wrestler but you have to look at it like blue-colar. When you refuse to retire, you take a job away from a kid trying to feed his family… Or spend on strippers.

  2. Forget you Hulk Ho Ho

    (His real name is Terry)

  3. that would be gr8 if hogan went to tna its doubtful cos they got mick foley mayb possible rivalry but also double j would kick his ass again 4 tryin to steal his spotlight

  4. I think Hogan to TNA would really put thier creative team to the test.
It seems every time hogan gets a new storyline it’s no different to his others.
Then again WWE were never good at dealing with veterans in storylines.

TNA would have a hard time putting the spring back in HIS step

  5. the worst thing tna could do is sign hogan and have him join the m.e.m. it would be a poor mans version of the n.w.o. and would look pathetic. hogans time has passed. he is too broken down and were sick of seeing the same old routine brother…punch, punch, punch, big boot, leg drop, flexes, does ear thing… yawn.

  6. £5000 for Candice – Ashley didn’t charge that much!!! :-)
