HHH Turns 40, ROH Star Rips TNA, Madison Rayne Talks, Online Magazine
- Triple H turned the big 40 yesterday. What’s scary is he shares the same birthday as me (that’s why there was a lack of updates yesterday). Equally Shannon Moore turned 30 and Nick Hogan turned 19. Nick is the exact same age as me.
- After Jenna Morasca deafened her match with Sharmell at the TNA Victory Road PPV, ROH star Claudio Castagnoli said he was insulted by the match.
“Honestly I think fans should get paid to watch this… My condolences to all those who actually paid to see that crap.”
- TNA Knockout Madison Rayne discussed her decision to get in to the wrestling business with the Miami Herald.
“My mom doubted it and was disappointed, but I think the fact I set my goals, and I knew what I wanted, and I went after it, and I didn’t stop no matter what anybody said until I reached a goal, made my parents proud that they instilled that in me. They always wanted me to do well, and they wanted to make sure I was safe.”
- Press Release:
P OPULAR EUROPEAN FANZINE, the ‘Pro Wrestling Press’, has been relaunched as a free digital magazine – with the first issue
now available for viewing / download at www.thewrestlingpress.com
In 1999 the editor launched The Lions Den – a black andwhite A4 newsletter containing some decent articles and basic layout.
In 2001 the Pro Wrestling Press superseded The Lions Den and became an immediate hit with wrestling fans and performers alike. It was presented as an A5 booklet with elements of colour and an improvement in every way over The Lions Den. Primarily features based, with little news and results, the fanzine included arguably
some of the finest writers of the time. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes PWP has now been reborn in the form of a digital magazine, and as before the strength is in the writing. Previous contributors Phil
Austin, PWPfrog and Dusty Wolfe have re-joined the team, with new recruits Steve Ashfield, Scott Keith, Charlie Reneke, John Atkins, Professor Wrestling and even Mickie ‘Moose’ Knuckles also committing.
Presentation is another redeeming feature of this publication, with bright and bold type complementing the outstanding photos supplied by regular snappers in America and Great Britain. Hoping to evolve into a worldwide publication with coverage and articles appealing to all fans; from teenager to pensioner, from England to Timbuktu…. the debut issue is merely a taster of things to come. Over time more content will be introduced and page size at least doubled. Keen to promote live local events, PWP will include an events calendar at the back of each issue and on the website. Also in its early stages, the website will eventually become much more than a tool to promote
the magazine – incorporating news stories, wrestler blogs and an interactive forum. PWP INVITES WEBSITE / FORUM POSTERS AND SHEET WRITER STORE VIEW THE FIRST ISSUE AND‘ SPREAD THE
WORD’. CONTACT US FOR MORE INFORMATION.
