Hardy Update, End of PG? New Video Game Mode, Elijah Burke Update

- The feeling backstage is that Jeff Hardy is done with the WWE and is simply letting his contract expire. He has 3 weeks to re-sign, although he has shot down several contracts already.

- According to the Wrestling Observer WWE are already discussing whether or not to scratch the PG rating. They have already been sneaking in more adult orientated segments, such as the Diva’s Bikini match, Santino using the world Lesbian in a sexual connotation and various other things. There is even talk of having The Godfather do a guest host spot to officially get the non PG ball rolling.

All this being said WWE changes their mind constantly, so this isn’t set in stone.

- One of the cool new features added to the WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2010 video game will be an online Royal Rumble mode.

- Former WWE star Elijah Burke is recovering after his surgery and noted on his Twitter page that he is finishing a degree in criminal justice during his time away from the ring.

  7. plssssssssssssssssss jeff re-sign , you are the one of the best wrestler , and will never be forgoten pls jeff and a diehard fan is requesting

  8. As much as i regret to say it, Jeff Hardy shouldn’t leave WWE YET.
An the end of PG is good, since now, i hope, things will change just enough to get people back into watching WWE.

  9. Well it seems that WWE is finally realizing what most of us intelligent fans have said all along about being PG, it sucks!! WWE is finally realizing that adults hate Cena, the 80’s are long and gone, and more people are threatening to look elsewhere for means of entertainment. It only seems that Vince is being too idiotic to give TV 14 a go again.. Otherwise we most likely would be out of this mess. But instead, he wants to cling to little kids buying merchandize and not giving a crap about the wrestling itself. Well Vince, all things come to an end, and this PG rating will be no exception.

  10. In many ways, I definately want the PG rating to go. But I do have 3 young boys, and as a single mom, watching wrestling is one of the few things we do together that we all enjoy. If it goes back to having segments like Edge and Lita’s sex show, we will have to stop watching it.
I hope they can figure out a way to make it more enjoyable for adults without going overboard with sex.

  11. I agree with YellowMom…I hate the PG era, very much. HOwever, I didn’t really enjoy the WWE when they had basically amatuer porn being shown on the TV…They should go to TV-14, meaning they bring back the intense storylines, the cuss words, blood, breaking tables..Things relating to WRESTLING…As far as the half naked chicks on the screen, I cna do without that…Infact, I wouldn’t mind if they got rid of the Divas completely.

  12. Isn’t it ironic that people are fine with blood and violence but are worried that kids could be scarred by suggestions of sex or nudity? Seems like priorities are a little skewed to me.

  13. Kids shouldnt even be watching wrestling till there around 12-13 years old. Having kids 5-9 years old watching wrestling is an insult to the real fans of it. If kids are gonna cry their guts out if they see blood or sex.. then they should stick to watching Barney instead of trying to skew WWE and try and ruin it for the rest of us

  14. bottom line is that vince cares more about revenue {kids, commercial pay, etc..} instead of caring about the quality of his shows so the pg rating might never go away. as long as kids buy cena and hardy crap and vince is raking in the dough we will forever see boring, predictable, commercial flooded, bland, god awful acting and storylines, etc.. this shit aint wrestling remember, its entertainment.

  15. Kenny, the PG rating will go away.. the question is “when” not “if.” Vince may be trying to rake in a new generation of kids, but what Im sure he realizes is that when those kids get to our age.. they wont wanna see “John Hogan”, they are gonna wanna see blood and edgy themes, and not a childish product… We all were kids once, but we grew up and expected better wrestling and storylines. And unless this generation doesnt grow past the age of 10 when they are 20 years old. We will see WWE going back to TV 14.

  16. I’m 15 now and i started watching WWE when it Rocked !!
and whats wrong with saying f-u or stf-u or seeing blood. We all bleed it’s no big deal.

PG needs to Go NOW !!!

  17. wwe should see sense in rating they have 3 shows RAW ECW and smackdown why cant they put like raw as tv 14 rating and smackdown as PG rating or somthink so they can attract all ppl into watching the show

  18. hi, I am absolutely ecstatic about WWE ending the PG, I’ve watch the wrestling ever since WWF attitude early days of WWE right until 2005 time when i thought WWE got boring, then it was brought to my attention that WWE went all save PG etc.. I hope WWE consider throwing away PG and seeing all the old wrestles come back, stone cold, the rock, goldberg and more. just seeing the old ways that WWe was would be amazing. Kane is my favorite wrestler and the shane mcmahon and kane story line was fantasic.. i hope we/i will be able to see the psychotic kane come back and destroy anything that moves :)
