Gerald Brisco Note, Y2J Touts Smackdown, TNA/WWE Stars At Same Show

- After initially getting word that WWE Hall of Famer Gerald Brisco suffered a stroke, Jim Ross updated his blog saying that wasn’t the case. It has since been revealed that Brisco had three strokes! Here is the latest from Jim Ross, who has now been in contact with him:

“Exchanged a few text messages over the weekend with Jerry Brisco who is in a positive state of mind after suffering three strokes and discovering that he has a hole in his heart and a faulty heart valve. Jerry’s wife Barbara had to confiscate his cell phone as many of Jerry’s friends were reaching out to him. The WWE Hall of Famer is respected by all that know him not to mention the fact that Jerry has helped so many men get their start in the business. Jerry told me that he will know more on Monday when he will have heart surgery as it was expected to be this week but that is not definite.”

- Chris Jericho called Smackdown the A show in a recent interview with About.com:

“SmackDown is the better show overall. Better performers, better wrestling. I think it’s a much better show. I think a lot of that has to do with the acquisitions of Punk and myself. With Mysterio, Hardy, Edge, and the Undertaker coming back I think there are some great combinations and some great matches to be had. I really honestly believe it is the better show of the two right now.”

It’s definitely the more wrestling themed show right now, with taking the more filler more storyline based route.

- In a rare occurrence WWE and TNA wrestlers will be appearing on the same show, when World Wrestling Council from Puerto Rico promote their big Aniversario show on July 11th.

MVP is listed as taking on Umaga, Carlito & Primo Colon vs the tag champs Thunder & Lightning, and TNA Knockouts ODB and Traci Brooks will be having a match. Of course the promotion is ran by the Colon’s father Carlos.
