Gail Kim WWE Bound, Mike Adamle To Wrestle, WWE Tops DVD Rankings
- Although nothing is confirmed there are rumors that Gail Kim is heading back to WWE and will start work as soon as her TNA contract officially expires. There has been no heat between TNA and Kim and it seems they left on good terms, but for whatever reason (probably WWE made her an offer) she has decided not to re-sign. Kim is a former WWE Diva so if she makes a return she’ll be put right in the mix.
- New WWE Raw GM and commentating catastrophe Mike Adamle is actually training to get in the ring according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Adamle has been working out with a personal trainer during his off time, preparing for a possible match or just ready to take bumps when they call.
- A WWE produced DVD is back on top of Billboard’s sports rankings this week, taking over the NBA release that knocked Flair off within a week. Here are the full rankings:
1. SummerSlam: The Complete Anthology 1988-2007
2. NBA Champions 2007-2008: Boston Celtics
3. The Rock: The Most Electrifying Man In Sports Entertainment
4. UFC 83: Serra Vs St-Pierre
5. Nature Boy Ric Flair: The Definitive Collection
6. Night Of Champions 2008
7. WrestleMania XXIV
8. Yankee Stadium: Baseball’s Cathedral
9. The Best Of Raw: 15th Anniversary 1993-2008
10. One Night Stand 2008
Keelan’s Call:
You can look at the Mike Adamle situation in two ways. One he’s a top sport and deserves a pat on the back for being willing to get in the ring, or two WWE are doing all they can to get him to quit so they don’t have to pay him the $300,000 contract. They’ve already realized he’s not good for the announcing job so maybe they are trying to break his spirit in order to get rid of their mistake.
