Former WWE Star Wins MMA Fight, New WWE Rookie, WWE’s Next Movie
- Former ECW original and WWE star Rodney Mack, aka Red Dogg won his first Mixed Martial Arts fight against Joe Nameth this past weekend for a small fight group in Louisiana. One source said “he simply kicked his ass” referring to Mack’s one minute obliteration of his opponent. Mack, who was last seen working the independent wrestling scene after his departure from WWE in 2007 came out wearing chains, similar to his early wrestling days in ECW. He is currently married to women’s wrestler and another former ECW/WWE star Jazz - who just so happened to be in talks with TNA recently.
- Joe Hennig, son of the legendary “Mr Perfect” Curt Hennig made his wrestling debut for WWE development territory FCW the other day after training hard for several months. Hennig is one of many second and third generation stars under contract to WWE, looking to fill the big shoes their fathers left behind.
- According to PWInsider.com WWE’s next big movie project will be a sequel to John Cena’s “The Marine”. Still in the early stages it is believed that the film will be a direct to DVD release.
