Show kicks off with the truly hated Smackdown GM, Vickie Guerrero. She introduces the rightly smug new World Heavyweight Champion. Edges actions at No Way Out were GENIUS. You know it too. His mic work is also genius. He calls the crowd ‘big fat failure turtles’ Genius, genius. His whole promo showed exactly why he is champion. Vickie can’t speak for boos when she gets the mic back, I can’t help but laugh every time she screams those words excuse me. John Cena interrupts their nauseous kiss and the majority of the crowd seem happy to see him. I was, but only to stop Vickie and Edge, otherwise no. Anyway he congratulates Edge. Yep, that’s what he does. But wants a rematch, and wow big pop. See in 2006 they two had the hottest feud in WWE, and it would work again. But we won’t see it unless John moves to Smackdown. The ‘Cena wit’ returns so Edge retaliates with some more genius work about their past. He tries to leave after waving his hand in front of his face, so Cena tells him he will, what? Catch him? Come on John. Will we see him on Smackdown?

Shane McMahon challenges Orton to a fight. Yawn. He says “No Legacy. That means no Rhodes and no Dibiase.” Yes thank you Shane I think we got that.

Cut to the ring after promoting the new Wrestlemania website. Not long now. Cryme Tyme are apparently splitting up and big Shad is in trouble. I think JTG could be a great singles competitor but I don’t think he’ll be given much chance. Anyway with Cryme Tyme there will be CM Punk. Not a fan. They’re facing William Regal with Rhodes and Dibiase. Do we still call them Priceless? I like them, I think Cody is a much more believable heel nowadays. Although Ted seems a bit unsure sometimes, but maybe that’s just me. Anyway they win, good stuff. Solid match.

Oh here’s Shane again. Hurrah. He’s going to fight Orton. Again.
“Orton is hurting just as bad as I am.” Not bloody likely. I did hope this would end at No Way Out but clearly not. Hopefully after what happens Shane will disappear. He is a very irritating man.

Ahhh Chris Jericho, despite the monotone voice he uses nowadays his promos are still gold. And that smirk, it just works. He talks about that strange looking man, but yes talented, Mickey Rourke. And all the legends who need to ‘hang up their boots’. Rowdy Roddy Piper comes out to a great pop and I myself was shocked to see him. Nice surprise. I know he’s from Canada but as a Scot it’s always nice to see Roddy Piper roll down to the ring in a kilt. He gives a very emotional speech where he tells the crowd that he lives for them. OLD SCHOOLS COOL! But then Chris attacks him, I didn’t expect it but I guess I should have. Ooh stiff kick to the ribs. Jerry Lawler says it is the “worst thing I have ever seen anyone do” but doesn’t attempt to help, ok then.

Cut to the man of the moment Randy Orton. His locker room seems to be in a worse off area than Stephanie McMahons. Anyway he says he will fight Shane-o and if he wants someone to not be able to move at the end of it ‘he can make that happen’. Nice.

Jamie Noble, where have you been? You do make me laugh. He ‘will not fumble’ when given his opportunity at Wrestlemania and says that Chavo Guerrero only made 9 seconds, and he can beat that. So Kane comes out and they grapple, then Kane choke slams him. That was 16 seconds by the way. Is there going to be some sort of storyline out of this?

Here comes JBL, with a nice shiner, was that from Shawn’s wife? Nice. He talks about how wealthy he is. Yes not rich, wealthy. So JBL doesn’t care about Micheals anymore because he has bigger things on the horizon, namely The Undertaker. Really? But here comes HBK, and he’s back AS The Heartbreak Kid. Thank gawd. So he says that he deserves to face ‘Taker to try and end the streak. Has anyone asked Undertakers opinion on this? So JBL vs. HBK next week for the right to challenge the Deadman as Wrestlemania.

Here we have the ‘I kicked your dad in the head and the following occurred’ video, only with the No Way Out match added at the end. It’s a cool promo but It’s shown every week with just adding things on. Really, how longs it going to get? The music fitted in too. Randy Orton is just the man of WWE right now, has to be said. But I’m biased, as I am in love with Randy Orton.

Rey comes out, looking awfully fragile. We all know the trouble with his knees, and after what he went through in the chamber, couldn’t he have one night off? Apparently not, so he’s facing Mike Knox. Yawwwn. Haven’t they learned their lesson with Snitsky? Mike’s tron animation is not for the epileptic. Quite a slow paced match to start, with ReyRey just getting battered. Liking his new outfit though. Things sped up suddenly by Mysterio, and he does “a sort of a bulldog thing” Tazz would have been all over that one, Lawler. But Rey wins, the last few minutes were good. But other than that I just can’t be bothered with the Rey Mysterio vs. a big man thing. Bring up Low Ki and give him to Rey.

WHAT is happening to Santino? Is he suddenly homosexual? Is there something we should know about Beth? Christ. Anyway nice touch Glamazon with the Italian colored headband. She’s facing the champ Melina. Crowd were pretty dead but that seems recurrent with divas matches. Roll on the Knockouts. Out comes Mickie James, Kelly x2 and the increasingly plastic Candice Michelle to stop Santino hitting on Melina and so they kick in Santino. Why? God only knows.

Stephanie’s in the back, talking on her trusty mobile. Phone cuts off so she throws the trusty mobile to the floor. Oh DRAMA.

Here comes the money. No skipping today, ohh no. But the sleeve pulling is always there. Then Randy’s music hits. Always gets me. And that walk.. But Shane ruins the entrance and we don’t see that great turnbuckle shot. Shane hits him, connecting quite obviously, but better than that pathetic 2-inches-off punches we all remember. Over the rail, the fans have cleared a path for them to fight in.. well you’d never see that back in the Attitude days. It’s not believable for Shane to be winning this fight, but he is. I believe he hit him with a watter bottle. Really? A water bottle. So two minutes in, Shane-o is covered in sweat, and Randy of course in baby oil. But we’re back in the ring and as should be, Orton in control. Oh no, Shane fell out. The crowd sound pretty bored and frankly I don’t really blame them, the lack of crowd reaction is emphasized when the announcers go off. Some nice shots of Shane McMahon wiping sweat off of himself.. Eugh. Orton is dragged into the ring, UNLIKELY, but I digress.. Shane puts a chair in place of a bin in front of Randy for the coast to coast, pulls his sleeves up, hikes his trousers up, but out comes Legacy. Orton should not be seen to need Legacy in my opinion but it worked on this occasion. Legacy beat him down then Shane gets a nice punt to the skull. Randy doesn’t look sorry.. Yet. Stephanie comes out crying for Shane. I do not like her wardrobe this week. She looked good in suits. Heeerrrrres RANDY! He looks over Shane’s lifeless body and Stephanie starts to aggravate him.. Bad idea, have you not learned your lesson? RKO! Damn the McMahons do take that move well. I expected Trips to come out but probably before his wife got slammed. His intense angry face was slightly disturbing but did make Orton’s fear face believable. And we get the classic ‘I’m in trouble now’ look. You certainly are. This feud is HOT.
