FCW News: TV Report, DH Smith News, Legend’s Son Has Tryout

- WrestlingTruth.com reader Marc Draven attended the TV taping of WWE development territory FCW last night and sent in the following notes:

“I went to the FCW show last night in Tampa. Flair was there but when signing autographs for everyone (which nice, but seemed like a requirement since all the names were doing it) he wouldn’t as much as look at us when coming by his line. Cena, Jericho , Afa Sr., Rocky Johnson, Dusty, and a few others were all there. Flair did a speech in the opening of the show which led to “Thank you Ric” ……….He got done and walked towards the back handing the mic to a camera guy who he dismissed as well. It was the first time meeting Flair and it was kind of a disappointment being I’ve worked in the business on and off for 20 years. I was looking forward to the moment only to have it deflated by lack of interest of him even being there. The rest of the guests were great. As much as I’m sick of Cena’s gimmick on TV, he was humble, polite, friendly and well appreciative of his position. You could tell that he’s proud and thankful for where he’s at in the business, both in and out of the ring. Also, although Jericho is playing the heal part perfectly, he’s still always a gentleman in person. The Show was great, some great matching…….hot as hell in that building, but well worth it. Afa Jr. put on a great match, as well as “Spears”. I never saw him before – but he was clean, played the perfect heal and did a promo with Cena that went over well.”

- DH Smith has now made a permanent move from Calgary, Albert, Canada to Florida to make it easier for him to work in development.

- According to PWInsider.com Dakota Darsow, the son of “Demolition Smash” Barry Darsow has been down in FCW having a one week tryout. He is not yet under a WWE development contract. No news on how well he did.
