Fans Cross The Line And Attack Chris Jericho After House Show
An incident of fan incompetence that took wrestling back 30 years occurred at Saturday’s WWE house show in Victoria, British Columbia, which saw WWE star Chris Jericho mobbed by a crowd and attacked by several “fans” who clearly took the show a little to seriously.
As Jericho attempted to leave the arena in his SUV rental car, a crowd of fans lined the streets. Some were obviously behaving and just looking to catch another glimpse of the star, but one guy decided to cross the line by blocking his vehicle and banging on the car, which promoted several more to block his exit. With no adequate security Jericho was forced to remove the fan, who found it funny to kick his door in the process.
The following Youtube video shows the ending of the incident where security actually attempt to do their job, which comes too late as Jericho snaps, hitting several fans:
According to reports, two male fans and a woman were hit by Jericho in the commotion, who were all verbally and physically invading his space.
Yaneth Martinez who was at the scene commented “It was crazy!!! The fan started it all and Jericho was defending himself…other than that, the show was great.”
The old school mentality is to stay in charcter and to show any fans that physically attack that they made a big mistake. However in this case Jericho was forced to act in a self defensive manner due to the inept security guards who let the fans block the car, go right up to his window and bang on the vehicle.

wow some fans really need to have a reality check and give chris a break. wonder how wwe will respond to this
Good for you Jericho. I love Chris Jericho, and you know what we should all know that his “character” is a dick, not his real-life persona. He seems to be a very nice and honorable man. Someone who if you youtube him you will see him as a very nice man who loves this business more than anyone else and who defends this business with all his heart. Those fans had no rite. I wish Jericho really had fucked those two guys up!
i went to the show on sat in victoria the show was great thank you wwe for coming back and doing a great show. later the show went to shit drunk fans do this crap.. many fans were yelling at wrestlers to sign qutograpths as they all do no wrestlers do sign qutograpths anymore at events here cause some of the fans go overbroad.i have a feeling wwe may sue some of the security for not doing there job and keep wrestlers safe or not come back to victoria for some time but i know they need to sell less liquar or no liquar anymore.however in the main event jerchio came out and say he would come over the bars in the area and kick every fan female male kids adults and some fans that were drunk may have took that to heart.jericho had every right to do this when fans cross the line im not sure how wwe will respond to this but i know there will be hot water for the security that should have done something before jericho came out of he’s car.some final adivice to fans that come and talk shit and push wrestlers in verbally and physically invading any wrestler they have a right to do what they do to you.
I watched the whole thing unfold. It was pretty intense. However, to set the record straight… Jericho never really hit anyone! This crazy ass of a fan decided to block his car and then proceed to bang on the window hard well yelling obscenities the whole time. Jericho had not choice but to stop. When he tried to get out of the SUV the asshole kicked the door hard right back onto Jericho. Jericho exited and a little bit of pushing and shoving ensued. The security guards came over and Jericho kept pleading with them to do their f’n jobs and get the punk ass fan and his girlfiend out of his face. The girlfriend actually physically pushed Jericho twice. The second time she actually spit on him and he reacted by pushing her back (he never hit her!). That is when all hell broke loose. The guy rushed Jericho and took a swing. The security guard intercepted him and finally took him to the ground with Jericho right there. Jericho then stormed SUV pushing anyone who got in his way (including a couple of security guards). The whole time he was yelling at the security guards to do their f’n jobs and get some cops there. Jericho sped away in the SUV running a stop sign at the bottom of the hill and just about taking out a little red Mazda. About 5 minutes later a cop car and a pattie wagon showed up and started questioning bystanders.
security fu**ed up big time. from looks and eyewitness statements it was the fans in the wrong not chris. I’m sure if we were in the same position as chris we would react in the same way.

The Security was totally inept and worthless from the little bit of film I just observed. I work for an NFL Franchise. During football season, My main job is crowd control, and escorting the players to their vehicles thru the crowd leaving the stadium in a safe and timely manner. Nothing is more important than your clients (in my case the players) safety. The Security Guards looked lost and did not know what to do, which is inexcusable in our business. Chris Jericho was their client and his safety was put in jeopardy. I am sure the WWE (McMahon) will have something to say about this.
i think that the fans are out of control and if i was jericho i might of gotten into a bigger fight
Me and some other guys love Jericho as a guy and like him as a fan. We respect him and he did what he should have in that intense situation.
I hope that Jericho doesn’t have to pay these A-holes anything. He did nothing wrong. He has a right to defend himself.
