Elijah Burke On His Release, Evan Bourne Update, Latest Jim Ross
- Elijah Burke posted a somewhat in character response to his WWE release on his official website today:
“My time is at hand. Do not weep, nor mourn, for I am gone but 4(up) a while. Hold on to that which I gave you, share it in laughter with those around you. For I have landed but for a brief refueling, for the course YOUR Pope takes is far far away. Your Pope smiles as he writes this knowing that peace is filled within, to all within the Congregation, NOW the true test begin! And remember, MY COMEBACK SHALL BE GREATER THAN MY SETBACK!~ The Pope Has Spoken!”
- As originally reported Evan Bourne is still trying to avoid ankle surgery and it is likely that he’ll be back a lot earlier than 4 months. Whether that’s a good idea or not, I don’t know, I’m not a doctor, but you can understand why he doesn’t want any time off.
- Jim Ross is back with another JRSBARBQ.com blog, here are the wrestling highlights:
On UK Tour:
“The WWE grossed over $2M Monday night with sold out events in both London and Manchester. That’s serious money. Tuesday night’s taping is also a sell out in Manchester with many more massive ticket sales grosses to come as the WWE continues a hugely successful European tour.”
On Mushy Peas:
“I can’t get mushy peas. I can order them but don’t care to eat the non seasoned Gerber baby food-like UK restaurant staple.”
[LOL I'm from the UK an I hear you Jim...well I don't like peas full stop!]
On Smackdown:
“I expect Tuesday night to be a TV production adventure. Looking forward to it. Jeff vs ‘Taker should be special. I’m taking the Deadman and the ‘under’.”
On Elijah Burke:
“Elijah Burke’s whereabouts are now well know as he was cut by the WWE in recent hours. Burke is a good talker and if I were him in addition to staying in wrestling, if he chooses, I would give Hollywood a shot. Tough break for Elijah but he cannot look at it as the world’s end.”
On the Wigan “Snake Pit”
“Tazz and I were talking about all the legit tough guys who were trained here in the UK in Wigan. Guys w/ no remorse and high tolerances of pain. One of the lesser discussed guys out of that famous concentration camp for submission wrestling is Roy Boyd aka Johnny Eagles who was also a card shark. Trust me on that one.”
