ECW Star Released, Raw Rating, More On Reid Flair, No More Entertainers?

- Monday’s episode of WWE Raw on the USA Network drew a low 2.9 cable rating, which is down from last week. The rating decreased over the two hours meaning fans were not compelled for the end of the show.

- WWE have released ECW star Armando Estrada according to their corporate site. They of course “wish him the best in all future endeavors.”

Estrada was originally brought in as Umaga’s manager with the backstage support of Paul Heyman and then eventually became ECW GM / jobber. We never really got a taste of his in ring work, but I personally think he had a great look and seemed athletic enough. WWE basically buried him the whole time.

- In a round about way it has been revealed that Reid Flair’s wrestling debut wasn’t canceled because of health issues but because Ric doesn’t want his son to debut before he’s absolutely ready. He certainly has big shoes to fill and the elder Flair probably doesn’t want a repeat of his other son David, when he stunk up WCW.

- It seems somebody came to their senses (maybe they read my article) but WWE has dropped the plan to call their wrestler’s entertainers and are sticking to the superstars and athlete variations. We still have to endure the WWE Universe though.

  1. I saw some real potential with Estrada. He had a good look and could REALLY talk. God knows they could use some managers to talk for many of today’s “entertainers” (wait…the idiocy has been reversed, HOORAY!)… *ahem*… wrestlers.

TNA should scoop Estrada up ASAP.
