ECW Rating, No Raw Overruns, Jericho Hosting Show, More JR Thoughts
- ECW on Sci-Fi this past Tuesday drew a 1.2 cable rating, meaning all WWE ratings this week have taken hit, most probably to the Olympics. Most shows have taken a small hit.
- There will be no Overruns on Raw until the Olympics is over, due to its strict scheduling. This can affect the ratings slightly.
- Chris Jericho will be hosting “Shame 2 Fame,” which will air on the Fuse network. The new original series follows ten aspiring female singers as they compete for a record deal and their own music video.
“Many people know Chris Jericho as a WWE legend but he is also a musician and the lead singer of his own band Fozzy. Chris is someone who has worked hard to get to where he is today, and that experience makes him a valuable resource and mentor for these women vying for a chance at stardom.”
- JR is back with another JRSBARBQ.com blog. Here are the highlights.
On new ECW announcers:
“Todd Grisham and Matt Striker, who Tazz loves to verbally abuse in catering, continue to do a nice job of handling the announcing ECW. I’m am happy for both guys and hope they are having fun. Striker looks to have found his niche. The past two Tuesdays I have found myself sitting at a table with Tazz, Striker, Grisham, and Joe E. Styles helping the ECW duo prep for their show.”
On Mick Foley:
“I have not spoken to Mick Foley in over a week and was hoping I would see him at Summerslam this Sunday but that isn’t a certainty. There sure are lots of conspiracy theories about Mick on the ‘net these days and it seems that the vast majority of them appear to be uninformed and speculative.”
On Y2J and HBK feud:
“I was equally surprised to see Jericho vs. Kane on Raw Monday night. Wouldn’t one assume that Jericho will show up Sunday at Summerslam to interact in some shape, form or fashion with Shawn Michaels?”
On Kane angle:
“Is Mike Adamle’s infatuation with the late, President Reagan a little…different? At least that burlap bag mystery has been solved. Or has it?”
