ECW Rating, Matt Hardy’s Birthday, Hogan Tour Update, Chavo Speaks
- This Tuesday’s ECW on SyFy drew a 1.2 cable rating.
- WWE star Matt Hardy just turned 35 years old. It’s funny to think the Hardy’s were once a young innovative team, and are now grizzled veterans.
- Heidenreich and Big Daddy V have been added to the Hulkamania Tour. It will be interesting to see if they do as well as the TNA tour.
- In light of his recent feud with Hornswoggle Chavo Guerrero posted the following to his critics:
“You all realize that it’s not wrestling anymore, right? It’s entertainment. Sometimes I wonder by your comments. You guys realize that I can out ‘wrestle’ most guys in the WWE, right? The way you guys respond makes me think that you actually think I’m losing. It makes me think I’m responding to RETARDS! We’re not the UFC. It’s not real. I can beat up a midget any day of the week and so could you. But who wants to see that?”
He has a point, but I’m pretty sure he’d still rather be out-wrestling everyone on the roster than fannying about with Horny.

What do you mean by “grizzled”?
It looks like a pivital point here. I get the sense that if Vickie has no influence over Chavo’s decisions he may, just may jump ship to TNA.
Comment this! Real or not it’s still degrading to you and your character Chavo! The only RETARDS are the wanna be hispanics that job to midgets every week instead of standing up for himself and feuding with a real Superstar. Personaly I’d rather be on ECW than lose to Horny!
Don’t Test “The West”
It’s just a term for veteran. In other words they are now experienced older wrestlers, instead of the young kids they once were, tearing it up in TLC matches.
Chavo is better than his current storyline I hope his rivalry with Bourne is kickstarted and hornswoggle will be left out of his matches.
I think Jack Brisco said it best when he lamented the loss of mystery in professional wrestling. In days past, a wrestler would have NEVER announced that it was “fake” and that fans who accept(rather than believe, Chavo!)what they see on t.v. as true would have been what the wrestler would have been going for! Does Chavo even GET that it is his JOB to sell the storyline? The fact that fans are upset over it should be a good thing then, right???? I think he should be fined and put on suspension for speaking out like that. It goes against all that is holy in this profession. Geesh- we KNOW it’s fake, STUPID!!!
Chavo can give no justification for jobing out to Hornswaggle, in my opinion. Back when midget wrestlers had their own division, even the most beloved midget wrestlers, (Sky Low Low, Lord Littlebrooke) wouldn’t be put over the worst full-sized wrestler. It would just be insulting everyone’s intelligence. I also remember watching his father and uncle wrestle as a tag-team, and Chavo when he made his debut in WCW. He was an excellent wrestler with a bright future. Yes, we know it’s fake, but for those of us who grew up with and respect the sport, we think Chavo is better than that, and he needs to give us more than what he’s been giving us.

here we are defending chavo and this extremely lame storyline he has been put into and he has the nerve to call the fans retards!?!? r u freakin kidding me!? he really should be walking into a creative teams meeting and calling them retards for making these terrible, boring, same shit every week storylines. i guess he’s happy wrestling and losing to a green midget every week. i mean that really does great things for the guerrero name, doesn’t it. this is just another example of how bad the sport has gotten in the past few years. these are dark times wwe fans. you know i was just watching a raw from ‘05 on wwe on demand and you can see how it used to be entertaining and how it has become utter crap now. and all this started to happen around ‘06 i believe. the seed was planted in ‘06 to make birth of the modern era today which is the worst era in pro wrestling history.
