DVD Rankings, Nick Hogan Can Drive Again, DH Smith’s Hair, More JR

- Here is this week’s Billboard top Recreational and Sports DVD titles featuring WWE:

1. NFL: Super Bowl XLIII Champions: Pittsburgh Steelers
2. UFC 91: Couture Vs. Lesnar
3. WWE: No Way Out 2009
4. NHL: The History Of The Boston Bruins (DEBUT)
5. WWE: The Best Of Saturday Night’s Main Event
6. UFC 90: Silva Vs. Cote
7. WWE: The Legacy Of Stone Cold Steve Austin
8. WWE: Royal Rumble 2009
9. WWE: Hell In A Cell
10. WWE: The Best Of Raw: 15th Anniversary 1993-2008

- Due to a goof in the driver’s license registry that failed to recognize Nick Hogan’s limits in regards to only being able to drive to and from work, the son of Hulk is now allowed to drive with no strings attached.

Hogan recently moved to California and upon applying for a Californian license the database showed nothing, so he got a full license.

One has to wonder why they don’t just say no! Or is the world now ran by computers?

- According to those in Florida DH Smith now has dyed blond hair. It has to only be a matter of time before he comes up to the main roster, although any chance of joining Legacy seems to have sailed.

- Jim Ross is back with another JRSBARBQ.com blog; here are the wrestling highlights:

On Diva’s Battle Royal:
“The Diva Battle Royal at ‘Mania was the darnedest thing I can remember seeing in a while as the ladies started scuffling before the bell rang and I swear that there were eliminations during the introductions. I was looking forward to seeing some of the Diva Alums but not only did I not see some of them in the match I did not get to see some of them during the week at the HQ hotel. I especially missed not getting to visit with Torrie Wilson. Hey, just because I’m on a “diet” doesn’t mean I can’t look at the “desert list.” Plus she always entertainingly busts my chops about her Boise State footballers upsetting Oklahoma a couple of years ago in the instant classic, Fiesta Bowl. I did get to visit with Sunny, Nidia, and Molly Holly and thoroughly enjoyed those conversations. Nidia did not compete in the Battle Royal as she is busy being a mom but looked to be in tremendous shape. Sunny was having fun in Houston and Molly is still doing great things with under privileged kids. I’ve never met a Diva with a better heart for wanting to do good deeds than does Molly. I wish more people in this world had her wonderful attitude.”

On Heath Ledger Comment:
“Heath Ledger fans took me to task about my poor choice of words during Rey Mysterio’s entrance at WM25 and for good reason. I had something else I wanted to say in reference to Rey’s attire and I fumbled. My bad. My attempt to make a topically, funny remark came out wrong but it’s on me. Sometimes on live TV things are said that one would like to have back but when one works without a net that’s what occasionally happens. Nonetheless I am sorry for offending any of you with my remarks.”

On His New Role:
“My hybrid role as a quasi play by play guy/analyst is likely going to be the direction that I will be traveling in the future with WWE. I actually like it and had a good time with working in the new role at WM25. I will assume this role again this Friday on SmackDown, working with Todd Grisham, and it is a work in progress but I think that in time, hopefully Sooner than later, that I will nail it. The old school play by play role is considered obsolete in WWE these days as the broadcasters are more story tellers than play by play people or color commentators. I look at this repositioning as a challenge and one that I look forward to refining.”

  1. I didn’t quite catch what JR said at ‘Mania, what did he say?

  2. Something along the lines of “Mysterio’s career is live and well”.
