Details On New Site Layout
Sometime the other evening the site was hacked and upon trying to fix it I completely screwed up the old layout. To secure the site after the hacking I had to upgrade wordpress to the latest version but the old theme no longer worked, so I had to quickly swap to a theme that allowed a similar layout.
There’s already been some negative feedback. What does everyone else think?
If that’s the consensus I will continue to look for a better one.
Because I’ve been fixing stuff, I haven’t had time for news updates. I will try and do them now.

It wouldnt be too bad if we had a better banner.
It’s too dark mate, you need a nice light background. Wrestling has a bad reputation as being dark and full of demons as it is, without getting that feeling from a visual on a site.
OoOoooo liking the drop down bar on bio’s etc, though.

Yeah I really like how it shows if someone has commented on a story from the front page, and the new dropdown menus at the top. Only complaint is the color scheme as others have said. The White and blue looked good. Just something brighter please.
I actually think it’s ok…just something to get used to. I’d prefer you focus on the stories then trying to make everyone happy by messing with the website layout!
I liked the white backdrop better. More of a white for virtue and truth.
With that being said, I love the over all site itself. Probably my favorite site to visit. It holds everything I’ve always wanted to know on and off screen in the world of wrastlin’. And now it’s here. Keep up the great work!
Kind of a sidenote. Did any of the sister or partner sites get hacked too I wonder?

The Only demons in wrestling today are Hulk Moneybags Hogan Dick Flair and Eric Bitchoff.

Looks Good, Everything is easy to read. It does need a new banner.
I like the way it is layed out. More professional looking and bigger is better. Alot of pro wrestling websites are so small you have to squint to see them. I do agree about the color scheme – need something not so dreary looking ( Rainy days and Mondays always get me down ). Lol. Go to the light. : )

Is what the background look like that important? I just want updates and get my daily news fix on my favorite form of entertaiment.

I like to read up on this site at night, usually in the dark on my laptop after a day of work. A blank sheet of white being backlit is bad for your eyes, just like staring into a light bulb. I like this layout much more.

I agree with JimmyWheeler, it’s too dark. I don’t know about demons and whatnot, but lighter is just easier on the eyes.
Otherwise, I have no problems with anything whatsoever.
Well, I had no idea of the hacking. Hey, you had to do it. You had no choice. It’s not like, say, youtube or Yahoo, forcing us to switch just because, well, “we big company, so we can force the people that make us money to switch to ugly new layouts”. I actually don’t mind this layout. Sorry to hear about you getting hacked. That truly sucks.

I think it needs to be DARKER! With demons and vampires everwhere. Maybe some skulls and crossbones, even Lady Gaga! (she’s a vampire, right?).
I don’t understand why anyone would care about wrestling being associated with demon possessd pumpkins. Wrestling is AMERICAN, so is holloween. So if you don’t love witches, goblins and The Undertaker… You hate America! Prepare to be waterboarded.
I prefer this layout I think it’s easier on the eyes but saying that the theme shouldn’t be a main focus as it’s the news etc that makes the site not the theme

I come here 2 or 3 times a day , looking for news, and have done so for years. And usually I hare when they change a site cos it is usually not for the better. I have read some of the comments, and I agree with some, disagree with others. But other than the color, I don’t think much has really changed. Heck, I like the color.
It is your site, it’s nice you ask our opinion, but as long as the content is the same and easy to get to and read, then all is fine with me. Thanx.
If it aint broke dont fix it ! It was broke you fixed it nice work, only little gripe is that i must agree a lighter background (only by a couple of shades though) would be more fitting. Overall score 9.5/10
Its great, its much more easier to read and you wont get sunburned from the background.
I’d like to point out that, I didn’t mean wrestling IS full of demons and is dark.. I meant that it’s the way it’s perceived by the MEDIA and therefore by other people as being a dark profession and full of death and drugs. To me having a dark background portrays dark and demons so any none wrestling fan who stumbles across this site the first thing they will see is “Dark site”
well dude layout is not important but the main thing is backstage news which we – IWC – love to know ,
dunno why it says 11pm, I got in at like 4am lol – maybe I did it with my mind while I was out. I don’t remember leaving the comment.
As stupidly ironic as this will sound, the only thing that I don’t like is that I now have to scroll down to the bottom of the page to go to the next article.
I prefered it when the next article was avaliable before the comments section as I don’t read most of them.
Other than that as long as the content stays as EXCELLENT as it is now it look anyway you want it to.
It’s about the quality people – not how bright & shiney it is!

If possible it’d be great to have a washout background of overlapping moves being performed.
The light text on dark background hurts my eyes. Big time. I’d naturally prefer a reversal.
