DDP Dispels TNA Rumors, JR On Young Talent, Hogan Disses HOF Ring

- Thanks to Ernie Valenzuela:
DDP did an interview with ForceofWrestling. A couple of the questions asked to him were:

1) If he could have one last match who would it be and why?

He listed The Rock because it would have been great to have The People‘s Champion vs. The People‘s Champion. He had envisioned that angle 2 years before joining WWE, but felt he missed the boat on that one and that was a big goal of his. The other being Randy Orton cause DDP mentioned that they both have the same moves and puts over his character as a heel. He loves that Randy Orton has the RKO finisher and isn’t upset with him doing the same move as the diamond cutter. DDP stated when it’s time for Orton to turn baby face he will be the hottest thing going and no one will touch him.

2) Any details if you are going to TNA?

His exact words were “As of right now no, none, I have no interest, but I am going to do some independent wrestling to see how my body feels. When you go to TV you need to be bringing your A game. I am 53 years old, I don’t want to be beat up like Hulk Hogan, walking around the way he does. Am I ruling out returning to TNA, no, will I return, well who knows. You would have to offer me the right money, it would have to be the right angle. You never rule it out, cause never say never.”

On the stalker angle: Felt it could have went well, but that’s not Takers gimmick and blames himself for going through with it. As said in question 1, he pitched the Ppl’s Champ vs. Ppl’s Champ angle to Vince, but Vince said he would have rather have him come in as Undertaker’s stalker and said do you really want to do a Ppl’s Champ vs. Ppl’s champ, and regrets giving in to the whole angle with Undertaker.

On Vince Mcmahon: He respects Vince for what he’s done in the business. He has nothing bad to say about him, due to the fact that he made his own decisions. “Did he help my career while I was there? Hell no” , “Could he have used me better? Absolutely”. He states not blaming anyone for anything and has no hard feelings towards Vince.

DDP also mentioned his main priority is yrgfitness.com and to go check it out if you want to see what he’s up to.

- Also from Eric:
Jim Ross was recently interviewed by the BaltimoreSun… He said young wrestlers will prove whether they are capable of being in main events if they don’t become complacent. “They just have to have time. And then they have to make sure that they don’t get a comfort level,” Ross told Kevin Eck of the Baltimore Sun in an excellent interview. “‘Hey look, I’m the Intercontinental champion’ or ‘Hey look, I’m on a pay-per-view’ or whatever. Are you in main events on pay-per-views? Have you headlined WrestleMania yet? ‘Well, no.’ Okay, so when you headline WrestleMania, you come back and see me about where you are in your comfort zone. And then I’m going to tell you when you headline one WrestleMania, why don’t you come back and talk to me a little bit more at length when you do your second one. That’s what you’re looking for.”

In the interview, Ross gave an impassioned speech about wrestlers needing to show WWE management they are capable of being main-eventers even when they think no one is watching a show like Superstars. “It’s just a matter if seeing who wants it when you get to a certain level. It doesn’t matter if you have a six-minute match on Superstars, go out and steal the show,” Ross said. “This is being taped before all the decision makers, and all your peers and all the crew, so I don’t want to hear about the stage.”

Ross also singled out fellow Oklahoman Jack Swagger as having all the ability to be a main-eventer, but a lack of drive or motivation at times. He said Swagger needs to find a fire in his belly to show management he can handle more duties and be put in main event situations. “He’s one of those guys that is so good that he can put it in a little above neutral and be better than most,” Ross said. “Somewhere along the way the light has to go off internally with Jack Swagger, where it starts burning brighter and brighter, and then he can use that to elevate up. That’s what I see that he needs to do. He has to go out and play like it’s the NCAA finals. And those back-to-back-to-back-type performances are what gets you noticed and what gives people confidence that, ‘okay, this kid’s getting it. Now let’s roll with him.

- During an interview with the Chicago Tribune Hulk Hogan dissed Vince McMahon’s Hall of Fame ring, saying that “I think Vince
McMahon paid $20 for it. My high school ring was better than this thing.” He concluded that all it was good for was covering up a finger tattoo his wife Linda got him.

  1. Fuck You Hogan! Vince should just take Hogan out of the Hall of Fame since he doesn’t appreciate anything. I am currently writing an article to let you hopefully publish Keelan about the worst and best wrestlers of my generation, having only to do with their business ethics.

  2. I agree with good old JR that he defo has the makings of a top star in the WWE. I’d like to see him either take out HBK or HHH or have a programme with Undertaker.

I really think that a feud with a top star will elevate him, just like they look like they are doing with Kofi Kingston.

  3. I have followed wrestling since iwas a 10 year old . I am now 70. HULK would be better served by SHUTTING his mouth .

  4. Most HAS-BEENS just cannot SHUT- UP.

  5. HOGAN SUCKS!!!!
