Cornette On TNA, Torrie Update, Lauren Gets Engaged, Vince On UFC
- During an interview with ScrippNews.com Jim Cornette discussed his TNA run and working with Vince Russo.
“At TNA, I was basically tired of working for a big company and watch it get smaller. I wanted to go to a smaller company and help it get bigger.
It was sad, disappointing and depressing to watch. We didn’t have as many pay-per-view buys as we should and nobody was getting over. [Russo is] the only booker I’ve ever seen who gets people under. The matches are made meaningless so Russo can see his comedic lines and dramatic scripting spring to life. There’s a bunch of great athletes, but they’re not very good actors. They’re even worse comedians.”
- Former WWE Diva Torrie Wilson will be on the Reality Show Awards which airs next Saturday night on the Fox Reality Channel.

- Vince McMahon discussed the switch to PG programming with the the Associated Press and also compared WWE to UFC. “We just followed our audience and tried to listen to them,” McMahon said. “It’s a more sophisticated product. It’s just the right move business-wise, but more specifically the right move in terms of reaching our audience.”
“You really can’t compete with that, why not deliver a more sophisticated product and not go to those extremes? If the audience wants those extremes, they know where to go and how to get it.”

erm keelan since the advertising of cena and DX vs legacy as raw main event fir raw taping November 9th means bragging rights cena wins? major fuck up by wwe
I saw the Hell in a Cell ppv. It was pretty good for being PG. Hell in a Cell without blood seemed really odd in a way, though. Just from the standpoint of it’s called HELL in a CELL. It’s not even named to be a kiddie-type ppv. The whole thing just seems kind of odd to me for the WWE to go to PG.
It’s not something that will make me say screw watching WWE. But having lame so-called “Superstars” with Woo Woo Woo and tights missing a leg and guys like him that might slow me down more than quite a bit.
Where’s all the new “tough guys”? I see a bunch of wanna-be losers for their future “superstars” so far. TNA isn’t much better. In other words, I don’t see any Iron Sheiks, George “The Animal” Steel’s, Stone Cold’s, The Rock’s, etc. in anyone. It seems more like pandering and whiny less-than-super “superstars” so far.
Vince no matter what u say UFC will always be competition .
FYI, if it wasn’t for professional wrestling, UFC wouldn’t have the roster that it has today and a lot of wrestling and MMA fans actually watch both shows and are solid fans because let’s face it UFC and Friday Night Smackdown are the two best shows right now
I almost forgot, Since 2007, Vince has ALWAYS had his head up his ass to the point that he can never even think about pulling it out.
As far as Im concerned Vince is only speaking for the parents who complained to the WWE that is was too violent, because I had heard nobody on the IWC community, nor any wrestling fan talk about how they wanted WWE to go PG while it was still TV 14. Vince needs to leave this company, Ive been saying it ever since this PG switch, and really was I wrong? The WWE is turning into a complete joke, TNA is being more realistic then WWE with wrestling atm. To think this is the same company that is making a rise and fall of WCW DVD when there produt is realistically worse then WCW right now. Give me a fu##ing break, kids are gonna watch WWE if its rated MA, they will find a way, its not like they havent before. Even in the 80’s Iv’e seen people get busted open during cage matches because it made it seem realistic, but the fact that you had 3 hell in a cell matches and no blood is a joke. Vince nobody wanted this switch, but you and you damn well know it, even your creative team hates it. What new audience does Vince mean? I sure haven’t seen it, cause the ratings have been in the same farce since this rating. Someone get Vince off whatever drugs he’s taking
now they advertiding cm punk vs taker in casket match for smackdown taping in November over here therefor spoiling bragging rights like they have fine raw so we now know cenas staying on raw. after bragging rights and taker or cm punk will be champ

I wonder are the rateings better now as compared to the Stone Cold/The Rock days.Them were the best days for me to have watched wrestling!
He is pretending to listen to people but who would have suggested Al Sharton or Bob Barker as guest host?Some of these people are just there to promote their products.Are they paying the WWE?It wouldn’t surprise me.
