Column: The Sting Volume 2, Prediction Edition
Hello everyone and welcome to The Sting Volume 2 with me, Scorpion!
First off I would like to thank those that took the time to read my debut column a week or two ago, and thanks to those who left comments and feedback, always appreciated. Whilst Volume 1 took a look at the Randy Orton/Shane McMahon feud, this column is slightly different in that I shall be giving my predictions on this Sunday’s No Way Out PPV.
If I’m honest, No Way Out doesn’t appeal to me all that much. With only five matches on the card, two being of the same gimmick, it doesn’t leave much variation. I’m sure we’ll be “treated” to a dark match, and possibly a women’s match, but still, I don’t care much for the women’s division anyway. I’m also extremely gutted that neither Tag Team Championships are being defended at NWO.
WWE ECW Champion Jack Swagger vs Finlay
I’m going to predict that this match will kick start the night off, although I would of personally chosen JBL vs HBK to start with. Putting this match just before the first Chamber match would add a bit more much needed value to the ECW title but we know that won’t happen.
A fairly solid back and fourth match between the two that will probably end at the 12 minute mark. Expect Hornswoggle to get involved in someway too. I’m going to go with Jack Swagger retaining here as I think it would be too soon for him to lose his new Championship, and with the return of Christian going to ECW, I think some Swagger/Christian matches are planned for the near future.
Shawn Michaels vs JBL
I am so bored of this feud already, I’ve tried giving it a chance I really have but it’s just not doing it for me. Hopefully this match will end the feud once and for all and it be never spoken of again. It’s feuds like this with HBK involved that actually make me bored of him. I love the guy, don’t get me wrong, a true legend, but these days he bores me so much and I know that’s not his fault. Clearly a problem in creative but it just makes me want to turn over.
Anyway, I predict a solid bloody battle that will end with HBK as the winner after about 18 minutes allowing him to somehow advance to WrestleMania, hopefully competing in a more worthwhile match.
Randy Orton vs Shane McMahon
I’m expecting this to be good, with your typical Shane-O-Mac high flying spots. I’m not sure what’s going to happen after this match is done, as I read an interesting prediction for WWE 2009 on another website. Someone has got me thinking after predicting that Shane will in fact end up joining the Legacy! It’s a possibility people, and a pretty good one too. Not sure how that would actually come about but maybe we’ll find out after No Way Out. I’m going with Randy Orton as the winner here, no doubt with some help from Dibiase and Rhodes.
World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber
This is probably the worst line in the chamber’s history. I really don’t think Mike Knox and Kofi Kingston deserve to be in there, not this year anyway. Same with Mysterio really. I don’t’ see the purpose of those three in there at all, other than being the first three to be eliminated. Come on, we know none of those will actually win. Can you see Mike Knox or Kingston defending and headlining at Mania? Of course not! Kane will play the typical monster in this but will receive an FU, oh sorry we can’t say that now can we, I mean an Attitude Adjuster from Cena leaving The Champ against Jericho. These two will play the end out for a while before it’s another successful title defence for Cena.
WWE Championship Elimination Chamber
I can’t wait for this one! Probably the best thing about No Way Out is this match right here. This is also the most difficult to predict for me as I can see various potential winners and storylines coming from it. I’m rooting for Jeff Hardy big time in this but I don’t actually think he’ll get the victory. Same with Big Show and Kozlov. I would like to see Edge retain and have Randy Orton choose the WWE Championship for his choice at Mania. This then leaves the door open for Undertaker to go switch brands and batter Cena at Mania! Probably not going to happen though. I don’t want to see HHH win but the WWE is right up his arse so you never know. I’m finding it extremely difficult to pick between Edge retaining, or a surprise Undertaker victory. If Undertaker wins, I’d love to see him go on to WrestleMania 25 and defend the WWE Championship against Jeff Hardy.
Sorry people, I just simply can’t choose between Edge and Undertaker with this one!
Well that’s all for The Sting Volume 2 with me, Scorpion. I would love to here your feedback, opinions and even your own predictions on No Way Out. Until next time, bye bye!

Don’t forget that Kozlov has never been pinned. They somehow have been trying to avoid it as much as they can. They won’t end his streak this way, by getting pinned in an elimination match. I go for Kozlov. Then at WM25 its Kozlov vs Undertaker, streak vs streak! And we know who will win
Im just gonna say this 17-0
interesting, i’d like to see jeff hardy fight taker at mania personally.
great collum mate must admit i am a cena fan but dont hold it against me lol. There are no suprises in wwe anymore the creative writers are rubbish i think me or you could do a better job i agree about the first chamber match second chamber match i think HHH will win again so he can loose it so he can beat ric flair for number of titles any thanks scorp can you let me know if you are getting my replys thanks
