Batista’s Future Still Cloudy, Tazz Admits He Was An A-Hole, Tonight’s Raw
- WWE star Batista has gone on record in several interviews saying that he’d likely retire in the next year or so, and in a sitdown with the Daily Mirror newspaper here in the UK he revealed that his contract is up in a year and his future isn’t clear.
“It’s something that I’ve been thinking about a lot. I really just have mixed feelings about it right now. I have just about another year left on my contract which I want to fulfill and when I start getting close to the end of that contract that’s when I’ll make a final decision.”
- In his latest official Facebook update, former WWE announcer and ECW original Tazz admitted that he was an A-hole backstage in the original ECW:
“I hate to admit this but I’m gonna shoot straight with you, I was probley the biggest A-Hole back in the original ECW days. I don’t think most of the locker room “liked” me….and they shouldn’t have. At times, I was a bit immature and difficult to deal with….it took me a long time to “make it” and I was always told I would NEVER make it in the industry and that motivated me but also developed a huge chip on my shoulder so I wasn’t mature enough (sometimes) to handle the push and was very protecting of what I achieved. If I had to do it all over again, I would put a better effort in being humble! Life experiences and settling down has taught me to not take myself so serious.”
Many have gone on record claiming Tazz probably believed in his tough guy act a bit too much in the original ECW, but eventually evolved in to one of the funniest guys backstage.
- Tonight’s episode of WWE Raw is hyped around the main event of Shane McMahon vs Randy Orton. The blurb reads “Shane McMahon failed to avenge his family at Backlash, allowing Randy Orton to win the WWE Title. But after attacking ‘The Viper’ last week, Shane O’Mac will have another chance to exact retribution from his nemesis on Raw.”
So you can obviously expect some heavy camera time tonight for Legacy.
Rumors from the building also suggest some kind of arm wrestling match will take place,as the apparatus has been spotted.

I’d have a guess at a Santina(santino) -v- Beth arm wrestle?
Legacy gets way too much time. Sort of like Main Event Mafia. It wouldn’t be all bad but it seems to be all Orton. Rhoads and Dibiase may as well be cut ups in the background. Raw has become “the Orton show” he talks slow and boring. Am I the only one who sees this?
Dorkstar your not the only one, I think he is slow too, his walk down the ramp -to the ring takes about 3 hours to 5 days then he talks all slow in the ring, I guess that is the time people go wait in line to buy concession stuff then come back to see Orton still talking. They could have made Cody like Evan Bourne, they are both about the same. I don’t see any talent in Dibiase, he looks like a “jobber” except he is good at being Orton’s slave. Unfortunately the other Dibiase “has a lot of growing up to do.”
Undertaker takes forever to get to the ring too and so does DX and all their little intros. I think that is what makes his character. He is the next big thing, the guy they want leading the product into the future. For him to walk down to the ring slow is giving the live crowd a long opportunity to watch him and boo him. He’s all about himself and wants the camera time. It makes perfect sense. I really dig this new role and how he is shaping his character.
As for DiBiase and Rhodes, I’m actually a huge fan of DiBiase and think he can be a star. Allow him to be Orton’s lacky, kind of like with Orton and HHH. Have DiBiase come into his own character and in about 3 years, he’ll be a big star.
Rhodes, I just don’t like his look like I do with DiBiase. His voice is also like a school girl. Maybe I’ll get used to him over time, but I’m just not a fan of his work.
As for Legacy having the most TV time, I like it. Get the newer guys over and build them around as your cornerstone. Same thing they did with Evolution. Orton is one of the better champions on Raw and it’s better than having Super Cena. I can’t wait for the Age of Orton to continue.
are you kidding me? Three years? Rhoads is miles better than Orton! Sure Undertaker and HBK take a long time to enter the ring… But they DO stuff on the way (at least when taker comes out, we can watch the fire)
HBK spins around like a moron. Orton just walks down slow, takes forever to get in the ring. Waits for five minutes, then speaks… Very slow! I guess he is the next star because we live in a slow country of stupid people.
You know, when you think of it Bob Orton was pipers laky for a few years before he became a big star. Wait a minute, Bob Orton never DID become a star did he? Ted Dibiase Sr and Dusty Rhoads were HUGE stars however. Seems to me Randy may have a vandeta and will keep these guys down as long as he can. Maybe he really DOES hear voices in his head. Daddys!
