Batista Update, Cornette Rips Triple H, TNA Want Lucha Stars, Raw Rating
- WWE has confirmed Batista’s injury and the website claims he will be out for four months, obviously putting his title in jeopardy. The new WWE champion will be determined on next week’s three hour Raw, with John Cena vs. Randy Orton vs. The Big Show vs. Triple H, in a four way.
- Jim Cornette has finally ventured in to the world of the web and created JimCornette.com – one of his latest articles is about Triple H being overrated:
“For the present, let’s go with Hunter Hearst Helmsley-McMahon. Actually, he’s a very good worker and studies the business. His promos are usually as exciting as a coma and last longer than this recession, but he has good matches. Problem is, as hard as he’s been crammed down people’s throats for the past 10 years, he should have surpassed Hogan, Austin, and Rock, but HHH is what is called in the business ‘the guy that works with the guy that draws money.’ He should be in there to have a good match and put the star over. Actually, he should have been fired in 1996 when he shit on the entire sport with the infamous ‘curtain call’ at MSG, but Vince, the guy with balls of steel, let HHH piss in his face and not only didn’t do anything about it, but let him marry his daughter! And a sledgehammer? Jesus Christ, I wish he’d hit me in the head with it before he starts talking on TV. HHH will be the top guy in the WWE until he looks like Dick the Bruiser in his final days working an Indiana county fair show, and if THAT’S not overrated, I don’t know what is.”
- From the encouragement of Hector Guerrero, TNA is thinking about signing some Lucha Libre stars from the CMLL promotion in Mexico. Names that have popped up are Mistico and Cibernetico. According to SuperLuchas Magazine they have already met with Mistico.
- This week’s WWE Monday Night Raw on the USA Network drew a 3.6 cable rating.

Jim cornette said exactly what i think
always the same guys getting Title shots on Raw. HHH, Cena & Orton !!! same old story all the time…
at least on SD they changed a bit !!
jim cornette is KEEPING IT REAL
Vince, its time to fire Batista he stays hurt. He just came back a couple months ago after being out for so many months.
Dont waste your money on him. Cut him and get some new talent.
Cornette can say what he wants about HHH. But that fact is when its all said and done, and Vince steps down, HHH will save this company. And I mean not only from this PG utter shit we experience, but we will go back to the “glory days” of wrestling. HHH has done his best to root out some of Vince’s “entertainment” values on us which absolutly suck to earth, (just look at Stan Kronokee if you dont believe me). HHH knows who the “real fans” are, and while yes he may get a lot of title reigns, but he can wrestle and can also make you excited for his return, (just look at this past monday). Face it everyone, when its all said and done and Vince steps down also when HHH retires, most of us will be happy HHH is running wwe.
LoL Jim cornette hit the nail right on the head.
yeh…he to read my mind 2
in response to GM it is always the same guys getting title shots on raw but Orton deserves it unlike the others
It will be amazing if TNA sign Mistico. He is without a doubt the most exiting wrestlers in the world right now.
first of all orton deserves hes title shots. second of all triple h is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, the problem is vince crams him down our throats. everyone loved him in the golden attitude era, its just that he been 2 long at the top of commercials, video games ect. u cant denie that in his prime he was one of the best, and forever will be. hunter has great knowledge of wrestling and he knows that this pg crap is the worst thing vince has done. hes a true wrestler u loser cornette, hes a great guy for what he has done but he’s ego leaves questons to be answered. hes promos are brilliant and as for skills, one of the best of all time. the thing thats “overated” is he’s ego, not his legacy.
Give the younger talent title shots. All those challengers are undeserving except for Orton. What i wanna know is once Vince retires will Triple H still wrestle or retire?.
Whoever said that Triple H will run the company after Vince is gone and that he saves us from Vince’s poor ideas, I’d like to hear when he’s done this because its news to me, and isn’t Shane the more likely one to run the company?
Daniel, If you have read in recent interviews, that Vince thought Raw had been going good. But to many, it was time for a change, and recently HHH has tried to root out corny humor that Vince has in his shows. If you just looked under, “How Vince felt about Raw 6/8/09″ I bet you would find it.
Daniel,
Steph is likely to run the TV side of the product (and through her Triple H) and Shane to run corporate. If you look at the positions they hold at the moment that is the way they are geared.
And also Vince tried to stop the Stephanie and Triple H relationship but they refused to stop seeing each other (from a TV interview with Triple H)
