Batista Update, Another Dwayne Johnson Movie, Lashley Defends Kennedy

- Early reports that Batista suffered a biceps tear and worked through it during the PPV are not entirely accurate. He is actually dealing with a tendon issue from previous tears, and is scheduled to have it assessed by an expert, instead of immediate surgery as first thought. So this isn’t a traditional muscle tear, although it links to the muscle and can become worse. It is unsure if he’ll take extended time off.

- Former WWE star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been tipped to star in a feature film adaptation of the children’s book “Captain Abdul’s Pirate School”.

- Hopeful TNA signee Bobby Lashley appeared on the “Busted Open” radio show recently and defended criticisms of Mr Kennedy. “If somebody says that (Kennedy worked too stiff), I think they need to get a reality check, man. We’re wrestlers, we’re not dancers. We’re not children. If someone touches you a little harder in a friggin’ wrestling match and you go crying about it, that’s ridiculous.

“I’ve been punched in the face, kicked, I’ve been hammered left and right by several different people. I never went crying and said, ‘Oh, he hit me too hard.’ That’s just part of the business of wrestling. It ain’t volleyball. It ain’t tee-ball. They’re grown men, most of which being well conditioned grown men… I had several matches with Kennedy and I never left the match and said, ‘Oh, man, you hit me too hard.’ I liked the way he worked.

“I didn’t think he was too stiff. I worked a lot of people who are top guys that are a lot stiffer than him. Some of the veterans would even say that they work a little snugger out there. It kind of helps. I don’t mind if someone works stiff with me because it helps me react a little better. It helps me get into the match a little more.”

  1. batista has been having alot of tears. the kind of injuries roid users normally get. hmmmm

  2. lashely you are 100% right , orton you are not a dancer or a 5 year old kid who directly starts crying after someone hits you .
    Orton you are such a a**Hole ,

  3. Dis we really need to see all of this nagging injuries to know Batista used steroids? Just look at how veiny the guy is even when he did promos (I know it is hard to sit through one) The longer he is gone the better I like the WWE, Triple H needs a longer break too. Vince develop younger talent put the old run down horses out to pasture and make creative do it’s job and have better more original storylines. Raw is clearly the B show, Smackdown has better talent and better storylines. hell ECW is starting to get better even though I feel the idea should be scrapped.

  4. It’s nice to see someone back up Kennedy that has been in the business. I really think that WWE acted to quickly on everything that had happened the night of Kennedy’s return. And Lashley is completely right, I mean pro wrestling is not really known for having NO risks. Pro wrestling has TONS of risks. You have to expect, to a certain degree that you will get hurt or get close to hurt during a match on a regular basis. There will be times when either miscommunications happen or moves are botched that’s just part of the business. So Orton really just needs to fess up and take his bumps, I can understand getting a little worked up out of fear of ALMOST being injured, but afterwards you have to realize that you really WEREN’T injured and get over it instead of getting people fired!

  5. Agree with Lashley, and even if there’s a beef with the way a wrestler throws/works with/etc. another wrestler, then miffed wrestler should take it up directly with the offending wrestler, not go whining to management. If it continues, just refuse to work with the offending wrestler. Also agree that HHH needed more time off, but I’m ok with Batista’s presence — allegedly he’s considering retirement in another year anyway. It’s a tough balancing act for WWE to keep longstanding fans happy with the vets while introducing fresh talent that will be accepted, but then again, they’ve been doing just that for years, and apparently it’s still quite successful. I am glad to see that Cena has finally been shown to be ‘human’ and able to be taken down — fans get bored with months of one single guy who always wins and is always on top. And heck, I never realized the comedic edge the guy has, HA!

  6. Cena cracked me up when he was mocking Jack Swagger that one episide. “Hi, I am john Cena… Cena” I about died laughing. I like the cocky attitude of Cena but I also like the fact that he doesnt always win. It gets boring when someone wins all the time. That is why I enjoy the ” bad guys” of wrestling so much.
A recent match in my home down, Jericho was fighting Mysterio. He climbed on the top ring leaned back and acted like he was taking a nap. It was funny and while I rooted for Mysterio, I cant help but LOVE the bad guys just as much.

  7. Kimbo slice probably will gt beat down on the Ultimate Fighter but it will still be good to watch especially if Bobby Lashely does it also.
