Marketing EVP Rochester Makes List of Top 50 Minorities in Cable

CableFAX: The Magazine, in its just-released Diversity Issue, has selected the Most Influential Minorities in Cable and WWE’s Geof Rochester has made the grade. This issue of the leading trade magazine charting cable television salutes the year’s top 50 minority executives and 50 executives to watch from an annual survey of cable’s diverse power brokers and inspirational leaders.
WWE Marketing EVP Rochester came is at #17 on the list of the Top 50, joining luminaries including Debra Lee, Chairman and CEO of BET Networks, Andrea Wong, President and CEO of Lifetime and Johnathan Rodgers, President and CEO of TV One. The editor’s credited the Rochester with helping WWE’s “over the top buzz generating apparatus” reach new levels of success via campaigns like The WrestleMania Fan Axxess Tour, online promos with Facebook and YouTube and edge-pushing marketing partnerships with A-list brands like Gillette, Slim Jim and Alka-Seltzer.”
- John Cena lost out at the UK Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice awards for the Favorite Sports Person Award to soccer star David Beckham. (For what? Beckham isn’t even on UK TV anymore). Cena helped guest host the show.
- Batista seems to have slipped in to his old ways and is upset that he hasn’t been getting a strong main event push as of late.
