Another TNA Employee Gone? TNA About To Stop Wrestlers Working Elsewhere
Source: PWTorch
- In an effort to be more corporate TNA are attempting to bring all of their employees under one office base in Nashville, thus this is part of the reason why Bill Beherns lost his job as the middle man between booking TNA talent on smaller independent shows. The weird thing is that particular job can be done from anywhere with a phone.
Another situation like this has occurred with events coordinator Rich Baker, who is not willing to relocate to Nashville to do a job that he can do at home. Baker who used to work behind the scenes in WWE is said to be a great asset to the company and it would be stupid to lose him because management have this idealistic view of everyone working under one roof.
- There are now also talks of TNA scrapping the 3rd party bookings rule altogether, or at least limiting it. Most TNA talent have the contractual right to work for other small independent promotions in exchange for TNA receiving a booking fee from the promoter. They are beginning to feel that other shows are stealing their thunder, when they could be running house shows in the same areas. If they decided to change this it obviously wouldn’t affect those that work on a pay per appearance basis but it may be a situation where they have to wait until each contract comes up for renegotiation which could make it a long process.
This may become a big problem as many wrestlers need outside bookings to make a decent income.
