Angelina Love Released, WWE Signs Another ROH Star, AJ Styles On McCool
- In a shocking move one of TNA’s top Knockouts, Angelina Love has been released because she could not get a valid Visa sorted (she is Canadian). One assumes the door is open if and when it is sorted, but Visa’s can take months, thus TNA has decided to terminate the contract in the meantime.
- WWE has continued their investment in ROH talent by signing Nigel McGuinness another very talented wrestler not to get a run in the big leagues.
- In response to the internet heat on Michelle McCool for stealing AJ Styles finisher, the TNA star told IGN that he is “cool” with the WWE Diva using his signature maneuver after discussing the matter with friend and former co-worker Gail Kim.
“Gail Kim’s one of my really good friends, and I asked her about that and we talked about it and she (McCool) does do my move, but I’m flattered that she would think to use that move. It doesn’t bother me at all,” Styles told IGN.com in an interview with IGN promoting his appearance on MTV’s MADE this weekend. “I guess it might be different if a guy was doing it and calling it something else.”
“But there is that one dude. What’s his name? I’m like, good grief, this guy does everyone else’s move and hasn’t come up with one,” Styles said. “He’s a heck of an athlete. Morrison. Yeah, I’ve seen him do a lot of Low Ki’s moves. He does my Spiral Tap. I was like, ‘Man, this guy watches a lot of tape.’ But he does them well, so I can’t say anything bad about him. He does them well. He’s heck of an athlete.”

You know AJ has a he’ll of a point! Morrison is a great athlete, but he lacks inovation. He even takes the image (and name) of a deadbeat rockstsar. Jim Morrison probably killed himself to avoid being a father.

I’m sorry but you can create the most innovative move in the world, but if about 5% of the wrestling fan popular sees it, then it’s not too effective.

He’s a doushbag because he’s claiming these moves as his own. He’s not using the names given by their creators. If Dane Cook steals jokes from a open mic comedian is that ok? I mean, their not good jokes if nobody hears them.

that’s the problem with wwe today. too many doushbag, prettyboy, boring ass wrestlers. yeah morrison got moves, but has absolutely NO talent at cutting a promo. i always wonder if he wears those jeans and jacket in public, lol. be funny to see someone drive by and spray mudd all over that gay shit he wears. I do look forward to seeing all of this ROH talent, especially McGuinness. Heard nothing but good things about them all. Maybe Vince can pull a few strings and get Angelina Love signed up prior to her re-signing with TNA?
That’s a good point, she’d be a great addition to WWE. They must have scouted her on TNA stealing the show. After all she was in WWE developmental at one point.
Nigel McGuinness to WWE? Yes indeed! That should be fun, asking him and Bryan Danielson to wrestle Kofi Kingston or The Miz. Somehow, I can see those “you’re gonna get your fucking head kicked in” chants becoming all too close to home for some WWE wrestlers. Well, I can dream anyway. Here’s hoping they go the way of CM Punk, and not Evan Bourne (or Samoa Joe, for the last year).
Also he’s right about John Morrisson. I don’t care that he uses other people’s moves, who dosn’t? But it would be good to see him create something of his own. The problem with him is that he just isn’t as smooth as some of the indie guys. Look at his finisher – usually he lands over their face or dosn’t fully spin or something. He has a large array of moves, but I’d like to see more of them perfected. When AJ Styles does something, it tends to look amazing because he’s so smooth, and he’s doing the moves so perfectly. Something I always noticed about Bret Hart is that in some matches, he’d only do maybe real four moves, and some punches, and a few armbars or wristlocks. (at least in his WWF/WCW matches. Seriously, watch his DVD, once you see it, you can’t unsee it). Thing is, Bret Hart didn’t need to do anything else, and neither did Rick Flair or Kurt Angle, and Shawn Michaels (and CM Punk and AJ for that matter) don’t really need to anymore, because they’re not just about massive spots. The spots can add something amazing, but they can have an exciting, close match without falling 15 feet, or doing corkscrews or whatever. I’ve also never seen anyone else do the starship pain, so I’d disagree with AJ a little. It’s good to see that AJ seems such a nice guy though. I think John Morrisson is really getting there as a WWE headliner. John Morrisson vs. AJ Styles would be a killer match.
It’s interesting that WWE is pushing a guy like Morisson just as with ECW back in the 90’s, where the independents lead, WWE follows.
You know what else? When was the last time anyone actually saw AJ use the spiral tap?
Angelina in WWE is pointless. They’ll just use her to job to that no talent Women’s champion by the name of Michelle McCool, or to Mickie James (though Mickie is miles more talented than McCool). What have they done with Gail Kim lately since she was signed? Nothing you say? That’s my point. At least while in TNA they actually used her and allowed her to ACTUALLY WRESTLE.
WWE looks down on the Divas and that’s the truth. Has there been any memorable matches that involved the Divas this year????? No
you say? You’re right, there hasn’t been. Why? Because in WWE’s sexist eyes, Divas aren’t REAL WRESTLERS, they’re eye candy used to draw in the pubescent crowd.
Angelina’s best bet is to get back into TNA where the focus is on WOMEN WRESTLING. Sure the knockouts look good, but that’s only part of it, these women ACTUAL WRESTLE, and wrestle WELL.
The TNA KNOCKOUTS GARNER THE RATINGS. The TNA KNOCKOUTS are respected enough to have their own TAG TEAM TITLES. And possibly THEIR OWN SHOW!
So no, Keelan, Angelina won’t be a great addition to WWE. They’ll probably put her into the title picture ONCE or TWICE, then let her job the remaining of her contract much like they (UNJUSTLY) did to Victoria.
And btw, why is Vince raiding ROH? Seems as if he’s doing the same as he did to the old ECW.
Now, if he propels these great wrestlers into mainstream prominence, that’s fine and dandy. But if you uses them like he’s using Evan Bourne, then what’s the point????
Also, how cool is AJ? He could have been a real douche (not doush, btw). I’m guessing he’s killing her with kindness, or he really doesn’t give a crap. Either way, he took the classy way out.

John Morrison is awesome, who cares if other people do those moves. Morrison is hot, athletic and his mic skills are fantastic, he has so much charisma, John Morrison is the best thing on Smackdown. There is nothing wrong with doing other people moves, everyone those each others moves anyways.
Angelina Love GONE… No great loss, just leaves more room for that talented roster of girls to get some more TV time and give us some more brilliant matches. Hamada all the way BABY!
Okay on that point of Jhon.Morrison.and Michelle McCool stilling AJ.styles moves is wrong and stuped.Goes to show you that thay have no talent but then 70% of WWE roster has no talent and if I was in charge things would be ran diffent.And now i know why thay are called entertiners not wrestlers.But hay who am I to say anything about that right.And there is no law in wrestling that preventes that from happening is there?If there is AJ.Styles should take them to court.What they need to do is have all wrestlers copy right all there moves because one man victory is another mans lost.take for exsample i invented the the 619 move that Ray.Mustirio.uses ray uses it to win the his a match or a tittle match and starts to making more money then I do.I shoud be compensaded for that because now he also knows my move and has a counter to that moves witch will give him a one up on me.because now you mave two people doing the same move now more wrestlers are going to look for counters to the 619 and then when I face Ray The question we should be asking is did AJ.Styles invent that move?If he did then I think he should be intittled to some money compensation.

It would depend on what brand she would want to go to because in case you don’t know, michael hayes has done quite a nice job on smackdown recently and if angelina love would decide to move to smackdown, I believe that mike would put her to good use as she one of the only female wrestlers worth a damn who is not currently working for TNA right now.
aj styles is the best wrestler in the world at the moment in my opinion, the moves this guy can pull out with are unbelievable, morrisson is also a very good athlete but i dont like his gay slow motion entrance lol. I would love to see them face each other tho, that would be crazy!
