3 Hour Impact Planned, Matt Hardy On TV Show, WWE On ESPN, More JR
- Thanks to Devin:
The October 15th edition of TNA Impact is a 3-hour show. It will air on Spike TV from 9 PM to midnight.
Go to http://prowrestlingevents.tk or http://prowrestlingevents.webs.com for info about upcoming wrestling shows worldwide.
- WWE star Matt Hardy will be appearing on the October 13th episode of Scare Tactics on SyFy. He plays a “violent criminal who breaks out of his physical and mental restraints to go after an innocent doctor’s assistant.”
- Thanks to Big Ben’s guest hosting on Raw, clips of DX were played over the opening of ESPN Sportscenter last night. They showed clips of the Steelers Offensive Line getting in their stance and cut to clips of Ben celebrating with DX and Jerry Lawler saying “There is your Sportscenter moment!”
- Jim Ross is back with another JRSBARBQ.com blog; here are the wrestling highlights:
On HIAC:
“HIAC was an interesting event from my perspective at ringside. I found out somewhat later than usual that the Punk-Undertaker was going on first which changes one’s dynamic as the biggest match SD had to broadcast was that particular one. I actually enjoyed the wresling side of the World Title bout and “felt” the story that was being told. I assume that Punk will get a return match in the future but don’t know the official date.”
On Morrison and Ziggler:
“Morrison and Ziggler continue to both be a “work in progress” and I felt both showed great promise and potential during their IC Title bout. Both men need to continue to build their foundations and I feel comfortable in saying that both are going to be significant stars sometime in the future. These two young men’s future isn’t about “titles” but building their body of work and developing their personas. I see Morrison and Ziggler as two of the shining, young stars on the SD roster.”
On Parking:
“Grisham and I had to park in the third level of pubic parking at the Prudential Center which created some interesting dynamics. It seems as if every person in the world now has a camera phone and I apologize for not being able to take the time to take a photo with every fan who wanted one but we were blocking traffic, had horns blaring, imagine that in the northeast, and had cops yelling at us.”
[Loving the typo].
On ESPN:
“ESPN surprised me with their coverage of Big Ben’s guest hosting shot Monday night on RAW. The Steelers had a great time from what I could see which comes as no surprise. The Steelers QB has been a WWE fan for long time.”
On The Miz:
“Miz winning the U.S. Title will shake up that area and the popular Kofi chasing Miz could result in some excellent bouts. Nice move in my opinion.”
