TNA Slammiversary Opener:

A cool video package airs highlighting the seven-year history of TNA Wrestling, showing a lot of clips of famous past moments in the company.

Mike Tenay and Don West welcome us to the show and explain the rules of some of tonight’s matches, such as the King Of The Mountain.

King Of The Mountain Match:
(X Division Title)
-Jay Lethal vs. Alex Shelley vs. Consequences Creed vs. Chris Sabin vs. Suicide (c)

Curtis Granderson from the Detroit Tigers is introduced as he’ll be the special time-keeper for this match. He’ll also be joining Tenay and West on commentary for the match. Jay Lethal’s music hits and he’s out first. Alex Shelley is out next. Consequences Creed makes his entrance. Chris Sabin is out. And finally, X-division champion Suicide makes his usual mysterious entrance. All the guys stand on one side of the ring, except Suicide who stands alone on the opposite side. All guys charge Suicide and attack him. Everyone in the match is teamed up to beat down Suicide. The Motor City Machine Guns do a cool series of double-team moves on Suicide. Creed brings a ladder into the ring. Suicide with a cool spring-board move off the ropes to smash both MCMG members. Suicide takes the ladder long-ways and clotheslines all four of the other guys. Suicide with a big move on Lethal, who he pins. Jay Lethal now faces two minutes in the penalty box. MCMG and Consequences Creed do a cool series of 3-on-1 moves on Suicide. Lethal is shown in the penalty box/cage with a countdown clock showing a minute and a half left. Suicide pins Alex Shelley, who is now sent to the penalty box. Lethal still has 20 seconds left in the penalty box as well. Lethal’s time is up and he’s let out of the penalty box/cage and is back in the ring attacking Suicide. Lethal is now in the penalty box. Sabin throws a chair right into Suicide’s face. Lethal does the Lethal Combination into an unfolded chair. All three guys “gang-pin” Suicide. Lethal gets credit for the pin, although the other two are protesting it. Countdown ends and Shelley is allowed out of the pentalty box. All guys are in the ring doing some ring-around-the-rosey celebration as Suicide is now in the penalty box. MCMG and Lethal Consequences with a cool series of moves back and forth to each other. Creed with a pin on Shelley, who is sent back to the penalty box. Suicide is let out of the penalty box. Lethal Consequences are double-teaming Suicide while Sabin is still down and Shelley is in the penalty box. Suicide flips Sabin back-first into a ladder laying diagnally across the middle ring-rope. “Holy sh*t” chant from the crowd for that. Suicide and Lethal are on the outside and Creed does a running front-flip over the top onto both guys. “TNA” chant from the crowd. The rules of this match are absolutely crazy and confusing to follow. Sabin leaps onto the ladder, jumps from there onto the top of the penalty box/cage at ringside and does a flying cross-body block off the top of that. Insane spot. Crowd is loving it. Shelley sets up the ladder in the ring. Sabin argues with him that he’s not even eligable. Sabin lays down and lets Shelley pin him. Shelley is now eligable. He climbs the ladder but Suicide is let out of the penalty box and dropkicks him off the ladder from the top rope. Another cool spot. Crazy catapolt spot with the ladder teeter-totting off the top rope. Huge launch effect, awesome spot. Sabin is let out of the penalty box and he immediately clotheslines Suicide over the top rope. Huge tornado DDT off the top from Sabin onto Lethal. He pins him and Lethal is sent to the penalty box. His time passes and Lethal is let out of the penalty box. Shelley clotheslines him down. Huge frogsplash from Shelley onto Lethal. All men are down while Alex Shelley is draping a ladder on the floor across the barricade and edge of the ring. Sabin is knocked back-first across that ladder. Lethal climbs to the top and drops the big Randy Savage-elbow drop onto Sabin and the ladder. That looked painful. Huge “TNA” chant from the crowd. Suicide is on the top of the penalty box/cage and has the ladder up there with him. Creed climbs the penalty box. Meanwhile, Shelley is setting up the ladder in the center of the ring to win. He climbs up with the title but Suicide has Creed down now and is dives off the penalty box onto Shelley to stop him. He grabs the title, climbs the ladder and hooks the belt on the ring to win the match.

Winner and STILL X-Division champion: Suicide

Backstage: Lauren Interviews “The Franchise” Shane Douglas

Lauren is backstage. She has a quick update on Team 3D. She talks about their match in Japan last night. She introduces “The Franchise” Shane Douglas. She says he has his chance to become a member of the TNA roster against Daniels. Douglas gets mad when Lauren claims he might lose. He takes a shot at Ric Flair. He says tonight he’s going to prove that “The Franchise” is a legend in this sport. He walks off.

2nd Chance Match:
-”The Franchise” Shane Douglas vs. Daniels

Douglas is out first. He makes his way to the ring and grabs a microphone. He trashes Detroit and puts over Pittsburgh. Daniels’ music hits and out he comes for the “second chance” match. Slow match early. Outside the ring, Douglas slams Daniels’ arm into the ring post. Back in the ring, Douglas with an armbar on Daniels. Douglas with a number of offensive moves focused directly on the arm of Daniels. Daniels is firing back now, but only has one good arm. Daniels with the BME – best moonsault ever, and the pin for the victory. Daniels maintains his role on the TNA roster.

Winner: Daniels

Backstage: Jeremy Borash Interviews Mick Foley

Backstage, Jeremy Borash is with Mick Foley. Borash says he doesn’t like Foley’s odds tonight with the number of people in the match. Foley tries correcting Borash. Foley sings “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands” but changes Whole World to World Title. Foley says he’ll win tonight and make it to Bound For Glory as World champion. Borash gives Foley a gift. Foley sings his song again as he walks off.

-A video package airs showing TNA Knockout’s champion Angelina Love and Tara’s (the former WWE Victoria) history.

TNA Knockout’s Title:
-Tara vs. Angelina Love (c)

Tara’s music hits and the former WWE Diva Victoria, now known as Tara, makes her way to the ring. TNA Knockout’s champion Angelina Love is out next with the other Beautiful People members Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne. The bell rings and Love and Tara goes nose-to-nose. Love pushes Tara and poses for the crowd. They lock up and Love headlocks Tara. Love shows off some more and Tara’s had enugh. She slugs Love twice and picks her up fo an over-head back breaker. Tara throws Love across the ring by her hair. Love rolls out to the floor and Madison and Velvet comfort her. Tara hits Love with a double-boot shot, driving her into the guard rail. Tara rolls Love back into the ring. The Beautiful People yank Tara off the apron. She crashes face-first into the apron and they roll her in the ring. Love pins her quickly but only gets two. Love with a dropkick and tries another pin attempt, again, only getting two. Love throws Tara to the floor and Madison and Velvet double-team her. They whip her into the ring steps hard and roll her back in the ring. Love pins her immediately but only gets two. Tara making her comeback now with a series of clotheslines. Big slam-move from Tara. She grills The Beautiful People on the outside and she goes to the floor and beats them both down. She rolls back in the ring and catches a kick from Love. Tara falls the floor with her face near the ropes, and The Beautiful People spray something in her eyes. Love takes advantage and pins Tara for the three-count and victory.

Winner and STILL TNA Knockout’s champion: Angelina Love

Backstage: Lauren Interviews Raven & Dr. Stevie w/ Daffney

Lauren is backstage with Dr. Stevie and Daffney. He talks about how he tried helping Lauren’s boyfriend Abyss. Raven is standing in the background the whole time. When Dr. Stevie is done talking, Raven grabs Lauren and talks about how he likes her. Raven tells Abyss that they are brothers in blood and brothers in chaos. He talks about how both guys are addicts and are hopeless. He ends the piece doing a sadistic laugh that turns into a cry.

Monster’s Ball:
-Raven & Daffney vs. Abyss & Taylor Wilde

Raven’s music hits and out he comes with his partner Daffney and Dr. Stevie. Taylor Wilde’s music hits and out she comes by herself. The music for Abyss hits and our match is underway. Abyss and Taylor do a series of double-team moves on Raven and Daffney individually early on. Dr. Stevie interferes from the floor. Abyss press-slams Daffney and throws her to the floor onto Dr. Stevie. Taylor climbs to the top and hits a cross body-block to all three on the floor. Abyss and Raven are fighting through the crowd. Taylor and Daffney are fighting on the floor in front of the announcers table. Daffney goes in the crowd and jumps on Abyss’ back. Taylor hits Daffney off of him with a trash can lid. Raven picks up the lid and smashes Abyss with it as they move further into the crowd. Daffney and Taylor are fighting by ringside. Raven sets up a table with a huge red drape across it. We shoot to Wilde and Daffney, as Taylor has Daffney on the ground. They fight to where Raven and Abyss are. Taylor places Daffney across the table Raven set up. She climbs up to the top of the entrance way, which is near by. She comes flying off it and splashes onto Daffney through the table. Crowd erupts with a mixed TNA/holy sh*t chant. We see multiple-angle replays shown immediately. Raven and Abyss fight back into the ring. Abyss goes under the ring and brings out a bag full of thumb tacks. Dr. Stevie interupts, hitting Abyss with a chair to the face. Raven stands up and does the Raven-pose. Abyss is bleeding from his head pretty good. Raven sets up an open-folding chair and hits Abyss with a drop toe-hold face-first into the chair. Abyss close-up shows him bleeding even more. Dr. Stevie gives Raven a kendo stick. Raven repeatedly nails Abyss in the face with it. Out on the floor at ringside, Daffney smashes a trashcan lid into Taylor’s face. In the ring, Raven is beating Abyss down with the full trash can. Abyss makes a comeback, hitting a big boot into the trash can, which hits Raven. Abyss picks up the kendo stick and his blasting Raven in the head with it. Abyss tries a chokeslam into a trash can but the can rolls away when Raven went up. That wasn’t supposed to happen. Don West tries covering it up on commentary, saying Raven was smart to kick it away as he was picked up for the chokeslam. Abyss launches Taylor Wilde into Raven. Abyss tries the pin but Dr. Stevie is holding the ref’s leg from the floor. Abyss picks up the bag of thumb tacks and dumps them all over the canvas. Daffney is hitting Abyss from behind, but it has no effect. Abyss turns around and is going to chokeslam her. Daffney tries running away but Taylor catches her and slams her into the tacks. Camera-shot shows tons of tacks in Daffney. Taylor dives right on top of her into the tacks for the pin but only gets two. Dr. Stevie is in the ring now. He turns around and Abyss is standing there. Abyss grabs him for a chokeslam but Raven hits Abyss with a chair shot. He hits Abyss with the Evenflow DDT but only gets two on a pin attempt. He tries it again but Abyss reverses it into a Blackhole Slam. Abyss pins Raven and gets the three.

Winners: Abyss & Taylor Wilde

Backstage: Jeremy Borash Interviews Jeff Jarrett

Backstage, Jeremy Borash is with Jeff Jarrett. Borash mentions how the King of the Mountain match was named after him, and that he’s never lost one. Jarrett talks about how the company is in danger if Mick Foley remains champion. He calls him a walking, talking time-bomb. Borash mentions how Foley said he was relying on Jarrett’s help tonight. Jarrett says he’s sick of Foley’s head games. Jarrett says after he wins the TNA World title, he’s going to decide what to do with it because he doesn’t want to become champion but he doesn’t want Foley having it.

-A video package airs showing the history of Matt Morgan and the Main Event Mafia/Sting.

Sting’s Spot In Main Event Mafia:
-Matt Morgan vs. Sting

Morgan’s music hits and out he comes. Sting’s music hits and out comes the Main Event Mafia member. The bell sounds to start the match. They lock up and Morgan hurls Sting to the floor. He goes out and attacks him, slamming him face-first into the guard rail. Back in the ring, Sting hits Morgan with multiple clotheslines, but can’t knock him off his feet. Tenay mentions that he’s receiving word in his headset that Team 3D has arrived in Michigan from their flight in Japan, where they flew from today after wrestling a match over there last night. Back to the action, Morgan hits several elbows on Sting in the corner and then shows off to the crowd. Morgan with a big slam and legdrop into a pin attempt, but only gets two. Big splash from Morgan into Sting in the corner. They’re putting Morgan over as a monster in this match. Morgan continuing to just dominate this match, which is completely one-sided at this point. Sting trying to fight back now after several more minutes of one-sided action from Morgan. The two are having a back-and-forth slugfest. Sting is getting the better of it now. Morgan misses a splash into the corner. Sting comes off the top with a missile dropkick. Sting hits a Stinger splash on Morgan in the corner. He tries hitting a second splash, but Morgan catches him coming in with the big boot. Sting hits a low blow on Morgan. He hits him with the scorpion death drop. Morgan kicks out of a pin attempt at two. Sting hits him with another scorpion death drop off the second rope and gets the pin and victory this time.

Winner: Sting

Backstage: Lauren Interviews AJ Styles & Samoa Joe

Backstage, Lauren is with AJ Styles and Samoa Joe. Styles talks about how tonight’s match is about strategy. He said he and Joe have been talking about this match for weeks. He said he doesn’t care if he or Joe wins, they are going to win and take back what they built. Joe tells Kurt Angle the wait is over. He said he promised to bring a nation of violence to TNA and he did. He talks about the guys he beat down in the Main Event Mafia. He says tonight, it’s Kurt Angle’s turn.

-A video package airs showing the history of the Team 3D/Beer Money Inc feud.

TNA Tag-Titles:
-Beer Money, Inc vs. Team 3D (c)

Beer Money, Inc is out first, followed by the TNA and New Japan world tag-team champions – Team 3D. The bell sounds and Devon and Storm start things off. Before they even lock-up we get a thunderous “we want tables” chant from the crowd. West and Tenay are being annoying on commentary arguing with each other about nothing. Storm tags in Roode and the two double-team Devon. Devon tags in Brother Ray, who locks up with Roode and bullies him into the corner. The two exchange punches until Roode hits the ropes and catches a big boot from Brother Ray. Brother Ray hits several mean ass chops on Roode in the corner. Roode fires up at one point and tells Brother Ray to give him another – which he didn’t mind doing. Brother Ray tags out. Beer Money double-teams Devon. Roode tags in Storm. He hits a few moves and tags Roode back in. Later in the match, all four men are in the ring, as Team 3D are double-teaming both guys individually. They set up a 3D but Storm interferes on Brother Ray. Team 3D clears house. They bring Roode back in and hit the “What’s up?” off the top move. Brother Ray pushes Devon and calls for the tables. They set up a table on the outside. Back in the ring, Roode with a spinebuster on Brother Ray. He tries a pin but only gets two. Both Beer Money guys are in the ring now and they are double-teaming Brother Ray. British Invasion are shown making their way down to the ring. They walk over to the announce booth and join Tenay and West on commentary. Back in the ring, it’s now just Storm and Brother Ray. Storm tags in Roode. They try a double-team spot but Brother Ray fights his way out of it. Brother Ray makes his way to his corner and tags in Devon. Devon with the hot tag, is cleaning house of both Beer Money, Inc guys. Devon with a pinfall attempt on Storm but only gets two. Powerslam from Devon on Roode. Chokeslam onto Storm by Devon. He pins Storm but Roode makes the save. Brother Ray hits the ring and they hit a backdrop 3D move on Roode. Storm off the top rope with a double cross body-block onto both Team 3D members. Storm with a hurricanrana off the top. Roode comes off another top rope with a splash onto Devon. They pin but only get two. Brother Ray with Storm on his shoulders, holds him for Devon to come off the top with a clothesline. Pin but only two. Storm spits beer into Roode’s eyes on accident, setting up the 3D. Devon pins Roode but the British Invasion distract the ref. Brother Ray comes off the top rope onto the floor on the British Invasion guys. Wow. Devon smashes British Invasion member Williams into the table on the outside. Beer Money, Inc hit the DWI on Devon and pin him for the three count and victory.

Backstage: Jeremy Borash Interviews Kurt Angle

Backstage, Jeremy Borash is with Kurt Angle. Angle’s hair is grown in slightly and he’s got a slight beard. Borash warns Angle that Samoa Joe is coming for him. Angle says tonight’s match isn’t about anything other than Angle and Joe, and Joe’s nation of violence. Angle says tonight he’s going to win and the Main Event Mafia will resume their position on the throne in TNA.

King Of The Mountain:
(TNA World Title)
-AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe vs. Jeff Jarrett vs. Kurt Angle vs. Mick Foley (c)

TNA Legend’s champion AJ Styles is shown walking backstage. He comes to the ring, where the penalty box, a ladder, and weapons are all over the place. Samoa Joe is shown walking backstage with a towel on his head. After each guy is shown backstage, they show a video package of why the King of the Mountain match is important for them specifically tonight. Then their music hits and they come to the ring. Jeff Jarrett shown backstage/video package/ring entrance is next. Kurt Angle shown backstage/video package/ring entrance (with a Pittsburgh Penguins jersey on, which the crowd boo’s), followed by the same for TNA World champion Mick Foley. Jeremy Borash does his long drawn-out entrance announcements as he does for all TNA PPV main-events. Joe puts on a Detroit Red Wings jersey and attacks Angle before the match starts. The refs can’t break it up and they throw Joe in the penalty box. Also, Kurt Angle is now eligable. Now the bell sounds and things get officially underway, with Joe in the box. AJ and Jarrett are double-teaming Angle while Foley just stands on the outside of the ring. Foley finally comes in the ring and allowed Jarrett to pin him. He wanted to be sent in the penalty box so he didn’t have to do anything. He’s now in the penalty box as Joe is out and he’s terrorizing people in the ring now. Angle and AJ are fighting on the outside, while Jarrett and Joe are fighting in the inside of the ring, with Foley still in the penalty box. Foley’s time is up and he’s out of the box now. Foley hits the ring and Joe attacks him. Joe with the rear naked choke on Foley and Foley is out. Joe is now eligable and Foley is sent to the penalty box again. Joe brings a ladder into the ring and hits Angle and Jarrett in the face with it. They show Foley in the penalty box still coming-to from being choked out. Joe with a huge suplex on Angle onto the ladder. Jarrett lays the ladder in the corner. Joe whips Jarrett back-first into the ladder hard. Foley is still trying to get up in the penalty box. He’s got 20 seconds left in there. Foley’s time is up and he staggers out of the box. Joe is near the top of the ladder with the title, and he’s eligable. Foley knocks the ladder over and Joe hit his body on the ladder on the way down hard. Foley puts the boots to Joe. AJ hits Foley from behind. Joe with a hip toss on Foley onto a ladder in the corner. Jarrett grabs the ladder and moves it to the center of the ring. The ladder is bent too bad from Joe landing on it earlier for it to stand properly. Jarrett gets off the ladder, closes it and throws it at Angle on the outside. Jarrett goes to the floor and grabs another fresh ladder. He sets it up in the middle of the ring and he has the belt. Angle and Foley both make the stop. Angle with a back suplex on AJ into a ladder in the corner. Jarrett has the guitar and goes to blast Angle with it but Angle kicks him in the stomach and he drops it. The two trade punches and Angle reverses a Jarrett move into the ankle-lock. Jarrett escapes, grabs the guitar and blasts Angle with it, smashing it to pieces. Jarrett grabs the title and climbs the ladder. He’s eligable. These rules are absolutely retarded. Foley is on the other side of the ladder. AJ kicks the ladder and all guys crash to the mat. Foley climbs on top of the penalty box/cage. AJ is climbing up there with him. Foley launches him into the ring and he crashes down hard. Foley comes off the top of the penalty box with a big elbow onto Angle. He pins him and Angle must now go to the penalty box. Foley pulls the sock out. Tenay mentions everyone but AJ is eligable to win so far in this match. Foley is climbing the ladder but AJ kicks him off of it. AJ finally gets a pin and now he’s eligable. Everyone is now eligable to win the match. With the pin, Foley has to go to the penalty box. Angle is let out of the penalty box. People are pinned conveniently timed to when those already in the box are to come out — every single time. Jarrett has the title and is climbing, trying to win. AJ is up on the other side of the ladder. Jarrett comes off the ladder onto Angle in a tornado DDT. AJ is still on the ladder but the belt fell. Foley has 40 seconds left in the penalty box. Joe and AJ fight furiously in front of the ladder. Foley’s time expires and he’s let out of the penalty box. AJ has the belt but can’t even start his climb as Foley hits him on his way into the ring. Joe attacks Foley with a big kick. Foley and Jarrett are fighting on the outside. Joe has the belt and is going up the ladder alone. AJ is rocking the ladder and eventually pulls him off instead. AJ has the title around his head and he’s climbing the ladder but Joe stops him. Angle tries an Angle-slam on AJ but he reverses it into a Styles Clash. He grabs the belt and starts his climb. Joe comes in and powerbombs AJ off the ladder hard. Joe has the belt and he walks up the ladder, Angle is on the other side. Joe voluntarily hands Angle the belt and Angle attatchs it to win.

Winner and NEW TNA champion: Kurt Angle

Big swerve, Samoa Joe Joins Main Event Mafia. Kurt Angle is the new TNA World champion. Tenay says Samoa Joe has joined the Main Event Mafia as the show goes off the air.
