12 Rounds News, Foley Taking Cage Bump? New Wrestlicious Video

- WWE have recently sent out a survey asking people why they didn’t watch the 12 Rounds movie over the weekend. My answer to that is, if they didn’t go see the film why would people answer a survey on it? If

The final figures for its opening weekend were $5.3 million, which is considered a huge letdown by WWE, who hyped it huge on TV.

- Last week on Impact Mick Foley claimed at the end of the show that he has “many more dives left in him” in regards to jumping (or falling) off the cage at Lockdown. Whether this is just a crass way to hook in buys, or he is actually considering a huge bump I don’t know.

The only way I see it happening is if it is heavily planned spot with tonnes of protection to break his fall. Do we really want to see it? Why not rehire Elix Skipper and let the X-Division guys do their thing?

- Thanks to Johnny C, of the newly launched Wrestlicious promotion for sending along the second extended video:

“NEWEST WRESTLICIOUS YOUTUBE VIDEO ALSO FEATURES EXTENDED ‘WRESTLICIOUS RAP’ INTRODUCING ADDITIONAL CHARACTERS INCLUDING GM ‘JV RICH’ PLAYED BY JONATHAN VARGAS, WRESTLICIOUS FOUNDER/ 19 YEAR OLD LOTTERY WINNER.”

[As I said, that is one lucky 19 year old].

  1. YES, we want to see it! Mick Foley is god, remember? ;-)

  2. Unfortunately he stopped being God years ago. I personally don’t want to see him crippled. Why cant he become a manager and put other guys over?

  3. so foley and jarrett keep saying TNA is about putting new guys over. Last PPV was sting-angle featuring foley & jarrett. Then on tna it was foley & jarrett v angle & sting. Now at the next PPV it’s sting v foley, prob featuring angle & jarrett.

TNA really is sucking right now and is nothing on WWE, and I include ECW in that comment!

  4. WTF at the last comment. So WWE is better than TNA?
Because WWE always put new guys over, right.
TNA is all about new things, new people, new angles, new matches.
Foley is a new guy in TNA.
That’s what makes a wrestling promotion successful, fresh things.
Not the same matches over and over, like we see in WWE.
Boring, lifeless matches over and over and over again.
And when there’s something cool, someone new, you can be sure Vince will stop that to have another boring JBL/Misterio match.
Look at what he did with Christian. He buried him because he hates him. WWE is going down this way.

  5. TNA is rehashing half of the WCW angles that killed it with half of their stars, don’t be deluded. Foley and Sting? Are you kidding me. If this was a real sport do you think two old guys like that would be on top? To be honest both promotions are pretty bad right now.

  6. New things from TNA? Kurt and Stiener laying down and pretending to cover one another? Yeah right. Why don’t they just call themselves NWO and have done with it.

At least WWE gave guys like CM Punk something TNA never could/would. World title, major PPV win (WM24) to name two things.

Also you have to think smart, Mysterio is aimed at the kids, and alot of them won’t have seen Mysterio retire JBL way back or seen them go at it so it’s recycled yes, but fresh to Mysterio’s target audience.

And as for Foley saying everyone is talking about TNA’s PPV and not Mania – get real old man.

  7. I forgot to mention:

TNA’s main faction is Angle, Booker, Nash etc…

At least Legacey has two new bright stars in it. Jarrett would have prob had Orton re-team with Flair and Piper or something!

  8. So Keelan would you have wanted to see Sting vs Foley years ago, like when both wrestlers were in great shape and could wrestle?

  9. Oh yeah, absolutely. They had some good matches. If they could have hooked up during the Monday night Wars that would also have been great to see. But it’s 2009, not 1999 or 1989.

  10. I agree with you Keelan. That match should of took place back then.
