I never understood why people really thought TNA was going to shut down, as well. The Carter's were going to keep it going for, at-least, a few more years to see if they could turn a profit. If after like, 3 more years they were still pumping a shitload of money into TNA, then they would probably shut it down.
One big reason, I think, TNA is making money is that they're finally running house shows and doing PPV's outside of Universal Studios, which means they can actually charge people to come to the shows. Once they started the house shows and running outside of Orlando, you saw more reports saying how close TNA was to making a profit. Now that they run more house shows and more shows outside of Orlando, they're out of the red. Plus, like you said, all the other deals they have in place now help too.
