I'd forgotten all about WWA also.
I saw a PPV where Jeff Jarrett was in the Main Event defending the NWA belt against Nathan Jones. It seems like this ran simultaneously to when WWE was running his introductory vignettes ("I survived X years in prison! I am Nathan Jones!") I thought they were cool (yeah, I said it

) and was looking forward to Jones's debut ... until I saw that match.
I also remember they were pimping Luger vs. Sting pretty heavily but with the lamest promos ever. Both of them basically just saying, "You were never good enough to beat me," over and over again.
I never saw any XWF until the Hogan Anthology DVD came out. I'd only read about it online.
Looking forward to the next installment of this series, Kee.
