I'm still getting caught up on all the shows and have just begun downloading this week's RAW. I even avoided this thread so it wouldn't be spoiled but...there it was on my MyYahoo page yesterday morning. While my blinding hatred of all things Adamle is no secret, I have to admit I'm curious to see how this goes. He was a total assdart as an announcer, so at least as GM we might get to see him take the Batista Bomb or something. I was totally f'ing swerved on this one and didn't see it coming. I have to give WWE props on that, at least. I think I'm more pissed about the talk of Todd Grisham being brought in instead of bringing Joey back. I know he's heading up WWE.com now but, hell, they can't let him take 47 minutes a week away from that and call ECW???

Yeah, I know what you mean, but personnaly, I like the idea of Todd Grisham as the new ecw announcer, he has done a great job doing backstage interview and all that stuff, but that's only my opinion !
but regarding Joey Styles, I know his the original ECW voice, and he may have done the greatest job as a commentator, and they sure would have a lot better situation with Styles back on the ECW team!
well let see what this lead us to, it may become very interessant, or it may become another crapy decision since Adamle first job on ECW ^^

I have nothing against Todd (for the love of god, is it one "d" or two???) Grisham, it's just that I was still able to suspend my disbelief and sort of think of ECW as "ECW" when Joey was still calling the action.
I'm thankful as all hell that Adamle won't be behind the desk anymore - unless this GM thing turns out to be temporary and they give him his old job back.

Oh God no, he's got more chance to get his ass kicked as GM than as a commentator, so keep him as Raw GM for the moment...
As for the ECW situation, I know what you mean, Joey Styles is ECW, I remember when I hear him on the first ever ECW One Night Stand his very first words were "OH MY GOD!", that brought me back a few years ago, in the original ECW, where everything was EXTREME, where the Sandman would come to the ring and kick some ass, where Tommy Dreamer was a true tough guy, getting his ass kicked for hours and still going for it ! Where guys like Balls Mahoney, Rhyno, Sabu, RVD, Spike Dudley, Mike Awesome, and everybody else, they all would go to the ring, ready to put their bodies on the line, and you could be sure to hear at least one "OH MY GOD" from Joey Styles, and now, Joey Styles is doing some stuff for WWE.com, we've got Adamle as Raw GM, a crazy lunatic psycho women ruling SD!, Teddy Long almost invisible on ECW, and Michael Cole booed, well at least this doesn't change ^^
Things are getting pretty special on some point if you know what i mean !

The_Todd didn't do too bad on ECW, IMO. He wasn't that great but it was his first night. Either way, he completely owns Adamle.
He seemed a little nervous but, with time, I think he'll be good. Hell, how long has the guy been waiting in the wings for a chance like this?
I still want Joey but ... oh well. *sigh*

Just to quote a great announcer.... "OH MY GOD !!!!!!" Guys, did any of you see the poll on the main page of wwe.com ?! Damn, i still don't know why, but when I saw it, I laugh so hard that I woke up my grand-parents !! Even on wwe.com they're wondering what they're doing with a guy like Adamle !!!! Please, sent him back where he came from, not sure, I think he's used to be an NFL commentator, correct me if I'm wrong ! BRING BACK JOEY STYLES ON THE ECW TABLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As much as it absolutely PAINS me to say something positive about The_Adamle...he didn't do TOO bad as GM Monday night. He wasn't great or even good by any means, but he didn't totally suck.
Which shocked me.
I really think they should have played up the "I've been disrespected" stuff though. I think that angle is the only way this is going to work. He should have been making everyone jump through hoops for making fun of him. He's probably just not smart enough to really pull off the heel thing, though.
Which is too bad. He had COLOSSAL heat at the beginning of the show. They should be capitalizing on that...for what it's worth.

I also think Adamle did ok, if not good! I mean he had his notes but he's supposed to be a GM, I'm sure GM's in other industries have notes. I mean George Bush has notes and people whispering in his ear. To me he seems like there's something up his sleeve that I can't put my finger on, like he's a heel underneath it all or something. There's some slight arrogance there. I'm waiting for the swerve such as it was Adamle who injured Vince LOL One thing that annoys me with WWE storylines though is they often leave unanswered questions that in dramas like The Wire, they'd answer (maybe even a whole season later) but with WWE we've learned to just forget about them. Why was he made GM?

You know...I noticed the notes in The_Adamle's hand but it never even crossed my mind as being a bad thing.
I, too, hope WWE will spend the coming weeks tying up the loose ends in this story. It's still early so there's plenty of time.
I never thought I'd say this, but The_Adamle as GM has me looking forward to RAW next week more than any other aspect of the show. They REALLY need to play up the built in heat he already has.

That WAS great. Shane could have read his shopping list and I still would have cared more about it than Cena v. Batista.
