What happened to the Main Event Mafia vs The TNA Frontline angle? It has changed from something I thought was awesome at first, which was some of my all-time favorites in Sting,Nash and Steiner, placed with Booker T and arguably the best wrestler in the world in Kurt Angle put in a heel stable known as The Main Event Mafia against the face faction of The TNA Frontline which consists of a lot of the young talented stars in a war for respect. Sounds badass, and it was for a while...but it became too much of a, for lack of a better term, one big clusterfuck as so many things in TNA are. What with Foley being a Frontline sympathizer but getting pissed off at the Motor City Machine Guns, then Jarrett vs Angle which is okay to a degree. Don West of all people turns heel and sides with the Mafia. No problem with heel announcers but come on, during the companie's biggest angle! Then there's the power struggle between Angle and Sting for the title then for control of the group which is almost a necessity to any super-powerful heel group, but the empty arena match/Jenna Morasca/MEM Security Sal and Rocco...all very stupid. But the worst was making it like an actual mafia such as the Godfather movies Kurt calling out hits like a mob boss would, the rose thing is just too much. The next to last bad thing about it that it brought in Samoa Joe's new gimmick which is a blatant Taz ripoff, but it makes sense since Taz is his special advisor or whatever. Plus Sting was essentially a face when he was supposed to be a heel the whole time...And finally Mick Foley is the TNA World Heavyweight Champion, and the main feud is now Jarrett and Foley. Plus the entire war with the Fronline is all but forgotten...What the FUCK man!

BTW, How in the blue-hell is Matt Morgan even trying to get in. They're all supposed to be legends, which for the most part they are.

2 words: Vince Russo.

Now, I know it's popular to hate on him, but hear me out. Russo is famous for crash-booking. He thinks stuff up faster than his brain can process it.

Same thing happened with the nWo. It started cool, but too many people wanted the spot.

Too many cooks spoil the broth. Everyone wants in the Main Event. So, to satisfy the people, the faction, and the storyline, get watered down.

So, while Russo can be blamed for things not totally making sense, people in general, and jealousy, can be blamed for something hot (nWo, MEM) falling to pieces.

I can sum this up NWO=MEM....Russo keeps retrying old storylines and without the backing WCW had it comes off even worse...
