Kee's ECW column

As usual, I agree.

I swear, after I finished watching ECW last night I said to my wife, "Holy shit...ECW was better than RAW this week."

I'm really eating a shitload of crow these days because I went off the handle when Mark Henry first became ECW champ but WWE has actually convinced me he deserves to be there...and through really strange methods I thought I'd never get behind. Look at his record as champ: defeats Show and Kane for title (good), gets Tony f'ing Atlas as manager (bad, but it's working somehow), beats up Colin Delaney and Tommy Dreamer (bad)...yet somehow he still seems like a legitimate champ.

I also thought Matt Striker did a great job on color, although he came off more like a lead announcer IMO. I'm sure Vince hated how Matt has a tendency to get a bit verbose, but I loved it. Why not make ECW a 3 man team?

On paper, Knox vs. Finlay doesn't look like the best of segments but, wow, they both came off great! For the first time, I genuinely believe that Knox is going to be a player. His look is like a Bruiser Brody Jr. or something. If Finlay puts him over this could be his first baby step toward the big time...and Finlay is over enough that it won't hurt his spot in the slightest.

I've watched the Dirt Sheet on wwe.com a couple times and had a chuckle but DAMN did that come off good in front of a live audience or what?!? It reminded me of the old days. If they keep showcasing Miz and Morrison like that, these two are going to be HUGE.

Tommy Dreamer...as much as it pains me to say it, I'm finally on the "F*** Tommy" bandwagon. His showing was truly pathetic and it's time for him to be put out to pasture. ECW GM perhaps???

Tommy Dreamer is what Colin Delaney should have been like before he turned heel. A weak underdog babyface everyone hopes will actually get a win.

I'd buy him as GM, but he seriously needs to get out of this "ECW is dead and I'm gonna cry about it and lose" mentality. None of this is really his fault though.

How did I miss this?

Wait... is or isn't the current state of Tommy Dreamer's "career" his own fault?

I know you told me he gave up his big backstage position to come back for this embarrassment.

Or is this one of those "We'll never know until the disgruntled shoot interview" things?

And, yes; his whole "Davy Crockett of ECW" thing must go. Santa Anna is standing on top of the Alamo wiping his ass with the flag, Tommy.

He's totally going to have to get over his butthurt-edness if he's ever to become ECW GM.
