Personally, I thought that was one of the worst payoffs to an extended "mystery" angle since the GobbeldyGooker.

"Is he alive or dead?"...turns out he was talking about HIMSELF??? Fuck that.

Although, I must say I was impressed by Adamle bustin' all Dr. Phil on his ass. As an announcer, Adamle makes one hell of a GM. I'm man enough to admit I was wrong: Adamle's doing a great job.

Mysterio's mask? I would rather have seen him pull out some Chip's Ahoy cookies or an autographed photo of Billy Joel than Mysterio's mask. At least the former two would have seemed genuinely bizarre and insane and furthered the angle.

yeah if they were just trying to swerve us, they did a shitty job of it. The swerve is supposed to be better. And what's the betting when Mysterio returns there's not even one mention of it?

I really really didn't like that the whole Mysterio mask in the bag. Can't Vince get it threw is fat over paid billion dollar head that we want the old Kane back. The Kane that took not 1,not 2, but 3 tombstone piledrivers before he was stoped. The Kane that single handedly picked up the Big Show & eleminated him from the Royal Rumble. Not a Kane that losses to Jerico after 1 Code Breaker. Not a Kane that impregnates Lita & then losses to SNITSKY!!!!!

I am so close to just dropping WWE altogether untell vince stops penny pinching the contracts of the wrestlers, Hires some really writers for the story lines & gets a F*cking clue!!! I mean the guy doesn't even know how to dile a phone on live television.(Million Dollar Mania) I'm sorry, I know the guy is old. But my Grandmother is old to & I only wish she didn't know how to use a phone. lol (Love you Grand Ma)

The point that I'm trying to make here is Vince thinks he knows what's best for the buisness when everyone else know.....HE doesn't!!!

I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if they pull a "fans won't remember" thing.

It's a bummer it turned out this way because they FINALLY had Kane in an angle where people were actually interested again.

I hear ya, Shane. WWE has a classic monster heel and haven't capitalized on it for years. At least he didn't do the "Kane-a-roonie".

Missed this part...

Honestly, I think 8.5 times out of 10 Vince DOES know what's best for the wrestling business...but he doesn't care. The business has gotten too big, so he's hired a bunch of non-wrestling people and put far too much power in their hands. It's like Kee is always saying: Vince wants to turn the product into something it's not...and he has all the right people under him to achieve this goal, but not in any positive way.

It's like the reverse of the old adage, "He can't see the forest except for the trees." Vince can't see the trees because he's focusing too much on the forest. In trying to grab those upscale advertisers and mainstream acceptance, he's allowing himself (and the group of assdarts under him) to turn the product into a confused mish-mash of bullshit.

There is no doubt in my mind whatsoever that, if Vince really wanted to, he could turn everything around in a matter of months and present a show we would want to see. But in order to do so, he'd have to focus on it being a WRESTLING show and this is something he ABSOLUTELY doesn't want to do.

Therefore we get this Kane shit. And didn't I read on this very site that the angle was turned into cocksoup because they wanted to protect the image of Adamle's character being "in control?" Props to Adamle for the job he's doing but this is a PRIME example of priorities being WAAAAAAAY out of whack.

...which will prove Vince might know a thing or two about wrestling.

Or do what I do. Watch the current product, enjoy the parts that are good and have a lot of fun bitching about/goofing on what I don't like.

Hell, people used to bitch on message boards during the Attitude Era too.

Why?

It's fun!

I here ya AmerInChina there's always gonna be someone bitching a mouning about something. But, It's really really bad when I become 1 of them. I'm a very possitive person and to turn me over to the dark side is like that FamilyGuy were God is trying to pick up that chick in the bar...uses a lightning bolt to light a cigerette & then hits her with one.... Funny ass hell but just plan wrong!!!

Yeah, but turning negatives (hating the current state of wrestling) into positives (goofing on it rather than being upset) is a GOOD thing.

For example: I was REALLY pissed off when Joey Styles was taken off the air and replaced by Mike Adamle...for about 5 minutes, until I realized the guy was Comedy Gold and A LOT of fun to goof on.

When I write an "angry rant" - either here or on my MySpace blog - I'm not really angry...I'm just having fun. I've been a fan for around 25 years, saw Flair in his prime (both live and on TV), blah blah blah, etc. etc. etc. I look at it like this: I love professional wrestling and have for most of my life. I can either stop watching it because I'm given bullshit like Cena v. Batista...or I can focus on the postive and have a good time in a different way making fun of the negatives.

When life hands you severed heads...break out the clown makeup and make a wacky totem pole!
