Long time WWE superstar Kane has internally sent word that he is ready to retire in the next few years. The Big Red Machine has been telling people close to him that he wants one more run as a champion before hanging up the boots. The consensus among creative is that Kane still has a lot to offer in a midcard role giving the rub to new stars, but from a character standpoint he is pretty dried up.

We all know it is hard for a lot of stars to get out of the business, but Kane looks like he has his head screwed on. He's had several major runs near the top of the company but is definitely growing stale IMO.

Kane's old fat and stale, + he's more of a BFG than a monster! Time for the younger guys to take his place me thinks

Back when his movie was coming out, there were reports that WWE wanted to give Kane a run with the World Heavyweight title, but he said no because he was looking to retire soon and that the "young" guys should get runs before him. Now this says he wants a title run. Either way, Kane has been boring for long time now. Last time I had any interest in what he was doing was when he was tagging with Big Show.

what Kee has said is true, Kane has been screwed time after time for a major title, I think the last run he had was Big Show as World Tag Team Champion.
Come on, he deserves more, he's a great wrestler, and he's pretty funny (well on that point, I don't think that everybody would agree ^^), but he's has what it takes to be a great champion, and I'm not talking about a 24 hours run as WWE Champion !!! ^^

To me he went downhill when they removed his mask and he looked normal. What happened to all his scars?

I think Kane's character died in 2003 when he lost his mask. The first couple of weeks were cool to see him without a mask but since that he's become out of shape and maybe mind. I don't see him fit into any rosters right now. He could do one more big feud with Buried Alive Match at the end and then retire but I wouldn't give him World Title. On the other hand, he's been with the company for a long time and deserves some credit.

Kee: What scars do you mean?

Weren’t the scars a fiction of the mind for Kane? I Think WWE played the whole thing that Kane was mentally scar were as he thought he was physically scar from whatever happen to him in that fire. Plus he was in a mental asylum for decades. (Later on we find out that The Undertaker blamed Kane because of his mental illness with pyromania but later when taker forms the ministry we find out that he was the one who killed their parents in that fire.

Basically agree with most people that his run in WWE is over. He's not enjoyable to watch anymore. They really need to change is character because he isn't the Big Red Machine (Big Red Retard as we said back then) anymore.
