- Last night's ECW was based around the Chavo Guerrero and Kane contract signing, but the night kicked off with The Miz taking on MITB winner CM Punk. JBL can go nuts backstage all he wants at John Morrison but his commentating is hilarious and puts him a across as a real arrogant young smart ass. The match itself was slow to begin with but had a nice intense last few minutes. I particularly enjoyed the extended criss cross spot. One thing bugging me throughout though was that CM Punk is supposed to be building up for a world title shot (unless they waste him on the ECW title), so he should have won this match so much easier.

- Next we went backstage and Armando Estrada continued his ridiculing of Colin Delaney, who is great by the way. He booked Tommy in a retirement match against Delaney and a possible contract opportunity. A small segment but it added some nice storyline quality to the show.

- The most important part of the show followed with the contract signing. Something that made Chavo look like a goof on TV was how he was dwarfed by Hawkins and Ryder during the entrance. Kane played up how he beat Chavo in 8 seconds and Chavo claimed that Kane sneak attacked him from behind. As is Chavo needed anymore backup, a new wrestler debuted (check the main listing for details on who he is) and took out Kane. We actually got a table bump out of this, which now seems odd in ECW - how ironic.

- Elijah Burke squashed Nunzio in the next match. Burke just seems to be here not doing anything lately.

- Next my favorite star on ECW, Kofi Kingston was in action. He brings a real boost of energy to a product that has become bland and full of big men. His unique style is fresh and they aren't wasting him in a cruiserweight style position which is promising. He beat Domino, who I just don't understand. Dice Clay wasn't funny, Grease was a rubbish movie and he's years too late.

- ECW Diva Layla actually got to speak and she has some very promising skills by the looks of things. She came across as a real bitch and her voice adds to the hotness! I'm not sure of her in ring talents just yet, but if they prove to be solid I hope she gets a women's title push down the line.

- Despite being a wet blanket, Tommy Dreamer still gets a pop and his match with Delaney was pretty good. Great selling by Delaney as always (well it is his gimmick) and the spiked DDT was a good finish.

- To conclude, it was just a usual ECW show, take it for what it's worth and it can be entertaining.

They had him lose the night after Wrestlemania to Jericho. So I don't think they're going to do anything special with Punk. He'll probably just go for the ECW title. Never know though...

Punk/Miz was solid. I loved John Morrison on commentary, as well.

Burke/Nunzio was a good squash. Remember when Burke was being pushed as one of the top guys in ECW?

I've only seen Kofi Kingston twice now, but I like what I've seen from him. He kinda reminds me of Booker T, early in his singles run, with the different style of offense. He can be sloppy, though. In-time, after working some programs with guys that can help him improve, I'd like to see Kingston hold a secondary title, if ECW ever introduces one(TV title or whatever).

Layla is fine as hell. Sexiest Diva in WWE, fuck the haters.

Delany made Dreamer's offense actually look pretty good. Decent match between those two.

The Miz shall forever be known as the "Cleveland Steamer"... ahh dear me that was lol.. John Morrison is hilarious.. the Flair video line... just everything... that and Miz' face after Morrison was ejected.. almost Santinawesome..
the addition of LaRoche to the group fills a gap nicely.. Chavo and Kane should be alright at Backlash.. but will no doubt rely on too much interference..
Im hoping Elijah gets something to do soon... hes been lost since Cor Von disappeared last year.. and i liked the New Breed..
Kofi gets another win.. its about time he had something better to do as well.. maybe he should start coming to the ring to "Good Vibrations" dry.gif
whats with Layla's accent? was it like that before? shes still hot though..
Delaney on offence? thats a change.. no surprise at the finish though..

and yeah.. where was Shelton?
