With the recent news of Christian Cage's contract expiring in TNA, rumours have surfaced of a possible WWE return?

What do you guys make of this? Should he return to WWE? Make a new deal with TNA? Go elsewhere?

I think if he were to return to WWE, he'd be lost amongst the mid-card talent. I don't think we'd ever see a Christian World Heavyweight Championship or WWE Championship run. He grabbed the World title in TNA, but I think a lot of that was down to the fact TNA's roster is no where near as big as WWE's and a near top star in WWE coming to TNA was a big deal at the time. Of course Cage is a fairly awesome wrestler with a lot of experience but it also doesn't help his WWE chances with a recent rumour of Vince McMahon not being to keen on Christian. Never a good thing!

Personally, I think it would be wise for him to remain with TNA, although the idea of a possible Edge & Christian reunion is very, very tempting!

To be fair I think Christian's TNA run wasn't quite what he expected. He was the Champ, but once you've been the champ you have to move on and in his case that meant being an afterthought, which is exactly what he didn't want to be in WWE. He's had the chance to work with some new wrestlers and a taste of being in the top spot, now he can go back to WWE and set a goal on making it there. I mean what's left for him to do? He may as well go back, make some money and hopefully get a run at the top in.

Every time someone bemoans WWE not being as good as it used to be, J.R. always laments the "lack of main even talent". Christian proved (at least in the early part of his TNA run) that he IS a main event talent.

I was convinced, anyway. Can't speak for anyone else.

He's great in the ring and on the mic. Is he going to turn everything around? Of course not, but he would certainly make it more interesting. Title run? Probably not... but who knows?

If he were relegated to an afterthought after jumping to WWE...well, better to be an afterthought on a program people actually watch and make big bank than be an also-ran in TNA.

After giving it much thought, I think i'd prefer it if Christian stayed with TNA.

Going to WWE would only push him down a level or two again and I doubt he would ever be able to be as big as he was in TNA, holding the World Championship.

Resign with TNA, get rid of that stupid stable of has-beens (minus Angle and Booker), capture the TNA Championship and feud and defend against someone younger and fresh, like get Christopher Daniels out of that stupid Curry Man gimmick. Just imagine, Christian Cage vs Christopher Daniels for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship!

I think Christian returing to the WWE is a huge risk of the WWE half as he has proved on TNA that he was main event material and it was a clever move on his behalf on going to TNA as he really took the company off and at the same time really proved himself there, it might be that the talent is worse there than the WWE but i don't think so as Booker T, Kurt Angle and other former WWE employees are there and can really show guys there how to perform and make the whole scene look great and get ove their persona.

I'm probably not the only one here, or i may be bubt has Christian actually gone to the WWE, as in pen to paper and you'll start at when ever at what ever location? I really did think that the whole Jeff Hardy 'accidient' storyline was perfect to get Christian back into the WWE as a main eventer as well as getting him right back into the mainstream audience, but i'm unsure about the brother vs brother thing, it was similar to the whole Rey Mysterio vs Eddie Guerrero match as Tag Team Champions and then go to rivals and it all ended really really badly. I hope they have something good planned for him if he is at the WWE especially as a Heel as he really did work well as one.

You know, I'm happy and sad at the same time. Now granted WWE just might crap all over Christian's talent yet again, I reckon the guy has as good a chance as ever to have a run close to the top of the card. I mean, it obvious the last time around WWE didn't have the faith in him as a top guy but then he went to TNA where he proved he could carry the ball as well as anybody. In addition to that now some of his friends are established main eventers in WWE (Edge in particular) so they'd be pushing for him to get a good opportunity. If he does not get a good push now I don't think he ever will. All the pieces seem to be into place. It's just a matter of WWE recognising that fact and giving Christian the opportunity that he deseves. Whether they do or not remains to be seen but like I said his chances are as good as ever. And let's face it. He did it all in TNA. He was both the top babyface and the top heel, he won the belt twice, worked with almost everybody. There really wasn't a lot of things left for him to do in TNA so I see nothing wrong in him wanting to go to a place where there'd be a lot of fresh opportunities for him and not to mention - a lot more money. Money's a key issue too. Christian's in the prime of his career and if he doesn't make the big bucks right now he most likely never will.

On the other side of the coin though, I'm quite sad to see him leave. In TNA his top spot was guaranteed. In WWE - it's not. Plus, I don't think he'll get as good a spot in WWE as he did in TNA. And there's the harder schedule issue. But, most importantly for myself, I'm not a WWE fan and haven't been one for quite a few years now. TNA is the American wrestling brand that I prefer so seeing Christian leave sucks for me personally. There goes one of my favourites. I don't watch WWE and I don't plan on starting to watch it again so that means no more Christian Cage for me. I'm a big fan of the guy but I just can't make myself watch WWE programming. I just don't seem to care about WWE's product at all, no matter how good or bad it might be. I''m just completely apathetic to WWE and that's that.
